Hilton is the RECORD holder for the high jump in Louisiana, not just a state champion.

You have a link to that ?.. he won state 5a last year, but I do not see where he has any records...according to athletic.net Hilton's PR was 6.8.. a kid from logansport jumped 7.0, and that was just for the 2018 season, not any kind of state record.

Really, I talked with several coaches over the weekend who saying exactly what I posted. One is a major pipeline to LSU and recently has had offensive skill kids go in a different direction than LSU. They are all more than happy to push defensive kids kids and olineman but have had a number of skill position kids on offense transfer out of LSU.

The LHSAA website has all the info you need, but Hilton is not the state record holder. The outdoor high jump record is 7-2, set in 1996 by J.J. Barton from Lafayette High. Hilton went 6-8 to win the outdoor high jump this year, which tied a couple of other jumpers from different classifications for the best overall mark at the state meet.

I only checked the indoor event results for 2018. Hilton did not win the State indoor HJ but he tied for best season result at 6’6” in the Qualifier.

Still 6’8” is awesomeness

Who are these skill position kids? LSU has consistently put wide receivers in the NFL. I would also think that any offensive player that the coaches want to target will be told by the coaches what they're trying to do on offense. Sounds like you and your little coach are both ignorant. If the coaches are pushing kids away from LSU they're just as shitty as you are. You act like LSU has been some juggernaut on offense. Just admit that you made your comment out of ignorance.

Obviously if I told you then I would be outing coaches

Go look at the number of kids that have transferred over the years and look at the weak stats/ targets to WRs over the years.

Really, we’ve had 3 OCs in 3 years? It’s a problem and LSU might be looking at another OC before 2019 season.

Why because coaches want to put their kids in best situations to be successful at next level? Stop being such a homer and start understanding some of the potential land mines out there. You might not like this perspective but it’s the truth.

You went full retard at this point and I really can’t have a discussion with someone who contidicts themselves in once sentence talking about all the LSU- NFL talent then acts like there is no talent at LSU in next sentence.

I’m done with you so don’t @ me

This is the recruiting board. If you want to take a shot at the coaches go to the rant.

Steve will be back as OC. There may be a Co offensive coordinator which could be nothing but positive.

I never said that there was no talent. That's your reading comprehension skills. I'm saying that LSU'S offense has never been known as a pass happy offense but they've always gotten their share of talented WRs. People that steer offensive talent away from LSU aren't on LSU'S side and can go frick themselves.

No that was your piss poor writing skills.

Btw, what exactly was so ignorant about my first post?

You don’t like what I posted, then fine, but it’s true. I’m not trying to coach bash. I’m saying the reality that we have had 3 coordinators in 3 years. Now we gonna add help for the OC next season? Do you see the problem Einstein?

I see an offense that's a work in progress. An offense that's going to improve. It sounds to me that you've read the ignorant shite that gets posted on the rant and took it as gospel. The offense was limited as much by personnel as by anything else this season.

I'll repeat it. Anyone that steers talent away from LSU is a dirty motherfricker and not a fan of this school.

Who exactly have we been missing on?

We took 2 of the top 5 WRs in the country last year.

We've got 2 top 5 RBs this year, a 5* WR and have a good possibility to land a second 5* WR. Not to mention, a highly touted 4* that can either play WR or defense.

In 2017 was a pretty down year for top end skill position players in the state and we missed on our top 2 guys and it was also a coaching transition year.

2016 was also down, but we got the top WR and the top TE in the state. We also got Drake Davis and Dee Anderson who could have pretty much gone anywhere.

According to him he's got coaches that are known as pipelines to LSU that are sending their talent elsewhere due to the offense. If they're sending players someplace else then they're not pipelines and certainly not friends of the program. It's my belief that the poster saw a chance to take a shot at the coaches and did so.

And if I look below you're sticking with this moronic statement? You can't tell us WHO these skill position players are that transferred out of LSU because you might out the highschool coaches? You are a fricking idiot. All I have to do is google who these so called skill player transfers are and I'm sorry to tell you but I'm coming up with nothing. Go follow another school and claim to be their fan

I can only think of 4 fairly recent skill position transfers.

2015
5* Tyronn Johnson, Warren Easton - transferred to Oklahoma State after his freshman year. As a RSJr this year he was second in the team in receptions

Low 4* Jazz Ferguson, West Feliciana - transferred to Northwestern State after his sophomore. Apparently Northwestern doesn't want people to see their player's stats very easily

2014
4* Trey Quinn, Barbe - transferred after his sophomore year and was pretty productive at SMU. He said he didn't feel like he was the prototypical receiver they were looking for at LSU after he left.

2013
4* John Diarse, Neville - Grad transfer to TCU after his 3rd year and was somewhat productive there

As you can see, none of these guys are that recent and none went to the same school or were even from the same part of the state.
