Why doesn't LSU open Tiger Stadium up to the public?

I understand it's under renovation now, but when it's not, why not charge people a small admission fee to allow them to tour the stadium and take some pictures? Is it not revenue for the University? I would pay to go see it in the off-season; especially when I have people visit from out of town and other states.

Because people suck and all it takes is one person to ruin something.

A student jumped off of Ben Hill and died and they stopped doing it a few years ago. Why risk damage/risk when you do not need to?

children, grandkids, or niece /nephew.
Mikes Kids Club. I’ve toured the stadium, locker rooms, media room, and stood on the 50 yard line and got grass out of the south end zone before the spring game in 2009.

People will be taking things, breaking stuff off of things, marring surfaces for fun, etc. Nice concept but lots of people are shite.

Some SJW would spray paint weird shite about toxic masculinity and sexism all over the walls

No I was talking about more of a guided tour or security at least present.

Because people don't know how to act.

Many NFL stadiums offer it. No issues with those.

When I was there in school, there always seemed to be a gate open and I could just walk in and look around. As long as you weren't causing any problems, they never said anything.

Good question... and it's not like "kids" or rather "dumbass kids" would do something like joy ride in a golf cart.

There are guided tours of Tiger Stadium and they are free. My wife and 2 boys took the tour 2 years ago. We walked through locker room area and then touched the WIN bar and toured the field area. Former Tiger safety, Chris Carrier's son gave us the tour. I also took a ton of pics and several videos.

I walked into the stadium one weekend visiting some friends. Toured it and got pics. For free. Was actually really cool. Fresh out of high school walking around that place was freaking awesome. Gave me chills thinking about how many great players had stepped foot on that same field and wrecked shite on it. So yeah.. just sneak in, or some shite.
Edit: To the poster above me, did not know they gave free tours. Would love to bring my son, thanks for throwing that info out there!

Just Google Tiger Stadium tours and there is a phone number to call and make an appointment. Just that simple

Nice tour. Arranged one as part of my brothers bachelor party.

I hear you can rent golf carts to ride around on the field.
