Who were/are you more excited for, Ryan Perrilloux or Leonard Fournette??

I thought Ryan was gonna win a heisman at Lsu. He did win us an SEC championship which I am grateful for. Both players have/had extremely high ceilings. LF's intangibles are off the charts though. Sky is the limit.

So did he.

Fournette man. Penning him as the next Adrian Peterson / Marcus Dupree

I'm more excited about Harris than RP. He was a tard.

He is going to be a special back, no doubt about it.

LF, it feels like he has been a recruit for over a decade.

LF... but by only a small margin.
As a QB, with those skills, RP looked like he was gonna JFF before Manziel had even gotten acne. Game changer.
But LF is a game changer too. And the timing is better, the pieces in place. Hence more excitement. He's the key.

RP for a couple of reasons. Our 2005 class was small and lacked star talent, so landing Perrilloux was big time. He was long thought to be Longhorn, then after Saban leaves he warms back up to LSU. On top of that, he was a ridiculously talented QB. He had 66 total TDs his senior year in really tough district.
We all thought he'd be a multi All-SEC QB at LSU

Very tough call. Both were extraordinarily productive and further developed than their peers in HS..they both had the ability to take over a game at a moment's notice as well..and to shift into a second gear at will.
I know it's easier to live "in the now," and say that I'm more excited about Fournette (especially after seeing how RP's career turned out). Also, having such a highly-regarded QB in LSU's backyard was certainly a lot to be enthusiastic about back in 2005.
Having said that though, after putting myself back into my mind state at the time of RP's announcement, I still get more excited for what LF has the potential to do at LSU.
As mentioned, he's a once-in-a-generation type back, with a remarkable head on his shoulders. I honestly believe he will do wonderful things for the Tigers in his time here.

I have been watching LF for 4 years. He by far is the most anticipated recruit I have followed.

While I was at LSU I think we were all excited about RP, but Early was the one who we all got extremely fired up about.
I've been watching LF run since I read an article one of my friends sent me about some Frosh who is lighting the world on fire at St. Aug.
I've watched film on every top running back since 02. Like everyone else has said LF is the best since Adrian Peterson. Combined with his personality and work ethic if everything stays on path health and a little luck he has a chance to be the Greatest of ALL TIME.

One of the more liberal comparisons (yet, still from a credible news source) called him the next Bo Jackson.

Bo Knows was said to run a 4.12 (google it)
LF is a legit 4.4, 4.5 on the field and can cut without slowing down. I see AP when he was a frosh at OU when I watch his film, but with better hands.

RP but I was younger and followed recruiting a lot closer.

Hopefully for you he turns out more like Peterson than Dupree
