yeah, i'm very surprised we haven't heard anything about a possible flip, considering he flipped to them when Lane was there, and now he's here.... b/c if was all about the school, why'd he commit here, at all, to begin with, when he had an offer from them already when he committed to us.... very strange, IMO

Maybe this year. But it was mentioned that one benefit he saw with LSU vs Ole Miss was the ability to recruit better talent instead of always having to find it in the portal.

Exactly. It’s great if you can hit every year but you won’t every year, just ask FSU. You’ll still need elite baseline talent (which places like Ohio State, UGA, Oregon now have) to stay in the hunt every year.

We will get 25 elite players then the NIL portal. LSU will go after a NC in their first year and the players out there know it. They will be lining up to come to LSU. We need a QB though. Hope Chambliss is eligible. But, will still need another one that can start.

Welp doesn’t look like it.
But glad we didn’t start throwing around scholarship offers just to try to get numbers in.
This class is still a monster’s class from a quality standpoint.

Might have committed to Garrison who was OL coach but doesn't look like he's following Lane here.

Bit of a time crunch. He’s been here less than a week. I think he’s doing well but the portal will be big because of the limited time. Considering the situation, Kelly’s next few years would have been a complete disaster if he was allowed to continue.

Would like to see some Oline guys, the Dline guys we are after, and bring back Darby. I know some of the Dline guys might not sign today due to staff unknowns, but hope we get all of them. The quality of our class is top notch, even though numbers are down. Lane knows how to portal, so not worried.

I don't think we'll get anywhere close to 25 by the 2nd signing day in January.
Probably end up at about 20, 22 max...
