It doesn't matter if the majority of the team is from the attendance zone. You still have kids on the roster from outside the original attendance zone. You have an advantage the non-select schools in the parish have. Just because they aren't a traditional private school in the sense of Catholic-NI or LCA, they still have the advantage of taking kids outside their zone.

They may not be "raiding talent" from other schools because let's be honest, there is not a lot of high-level talent in Avoyelles, but they do tend to draw the kids in the parish that have talent from outside their zone. Say what you want, but those kids would make a difference at the schools they're originally zoned for.

It's stupid that Bunkie is in a district with other public schools like Marksville, Jena, etc but come playoff time, they have to go play badass private schools because they're 'magnet'.

It's not stupid. It's right. You can't get the best kids out of your attendance zone and then complain about having to play competition that can do the same.

Which team has the flu?

I heard about half of Bunkie's boys have the flu. Flipped situation from last year where Jena had half the team out when they played Bunkie. I was told they're pumping IVs in everyone to try and get them ready for Friday.

Just parlayed Oregon St, Vandy, Arky, aTm, ECU and LSU. Had a bonus bet from Gronk's missed kick so I might as well try something worth plus money.
While we're on the topic of Zyns, has anyone tried the Black Buffalo pouches? I see they offer a nicotine pouch as well as nicotine free pouches. Wouldn't mind making the switch if they're worth it
I think OP confused baseball and football there.

Wondering why some of these teams are playing Thursday night… it’s one thing if the stadiums are shared like in NOLA, but I’d assume everyone else outside of a select few has their own. Maybe it’s lack of officials

I have been liking the Hero RB strategy this year. So I would go Bijan then fill out the rest of your roster before coming back and loading up on some RBs in the Kamara, Mattison, James Cook, James Conner, Pacheco area.

So far in Mocks, this has probably been my favorite drafts. I always end up snagging ARSB afterwards and Olave or Higgins in the 3rd.

# 5 pick in 10-Tm PPR league

I have pick 5 in a draft coming up on Sunday. Been doing tons of mocks and still unsure who to pick. I know Chase and JJ will be gone along with CMC and Ekeler. Would you go Kelce, Tyreek, or Best RB available in this spot? I know Kelce gives the biggest positional advantage but I feel like my mock drafts have come out better taking Hill or Bijan there.
Story from yesterday but he reiterated that Brown won't sign with the Rangers and Leah confirmed
I don't know if it went into effect yet but I believe the NCAA is passing a policy allowing recruits to be released from their NLI if there is a coaching change

Doubt Kupp will be available but it's possible that Chase and JJ get snagged before him. I've actually seen it happen a good bit in mock drafts.

I agree but it looks like there are still a lot of quality RBs later on in Rounds 3-5. Still hard to pass on an elite RB though

Pick 6 in 10 Team PPR

Got a draft coming up and I have Pick 6 in a 10 team PPR league. Had a plan in mind and now I’m starting to second guess it. Do I take Chase or Kupp and snag an RB in the 2nd or do I take Cook/Henry and look at WR or maybe even Kelce or Andrews on the flip?

Dont want the kid to leave, get better. Sorry but people dont leave the top 3a programs usually, even to go to barbe. Become the best, provide top notch academics and amazing facilities along with great coaching and kids wont leave.

It's easy to say "get better" but it isn't that easy. Public schools are typically hampered by a lack of funding and most programs aren't going to raise enough money to build top notch facilities. Hell, most programs can't even get help from their own city governments. Building large batting cages and facility upgrades aren't cheap.

I thought the same as well. If he’s a DES then I could see him making it to campus but for a guy to re-classify, I could easily see him going the JUCO route to get back to the draft quicker. Hopefully JJ can pitch him to come here and improve his stock much more.
He did get Floyd to come on late and FINALLY develop an off-speed pitch. I don’t think anyone else in that bullpen really had “weekend starter” stuff
I think Kelly deserves his props for what he did this season. I know our pitching wasn’t out of this world, but Kelly did do a pretty good job with what was available. That being said, I definitely think Wes will be an upgrade and we will have plenty of arms this season.
I have no doubt he will be. I just think Tebrake would help give us some really solid pitching depth. Possibly give us our best rotation since 2017
