That sucks...he couldn't tell us this months ago? He's been committed for awhile.

And all the sites have him listed as an OT now. Is he getting crappy advise from someone or what?

I wonder if Orgeron saying Turner would start out at TE was a message to Parker.

Not to me...we just signed McClendon, and we have people saying that Charles Turner is a TE, too.

And now we only have Thomas Perry as our lone OT commit...only a couple months left until signing day.

Assuming you meant Tight End. Offer him TE since he actually has some size and if he has ability there, then good.

Though we can’t go back and figure out why the hell we are like the old Ny Jets and offer tight ends all the time.

If he can play it and surpass moss, Moffit, sheffer....fine w me. But if no, then put him at rt

People in Ruston have been saying he's a TE for a while now. I don't look for us to sign him unless he's ok with playng OLine.

Which means we need another OLIneman, preferable a tackle.

Getting Ika softens the blow if we lose out on Sopsher. Getting Ish makes this a great DLine class. Missing on him and we'll be ok.

SO, with 6 spots left -

OLine
Sopsher
DB

And the best 3 we can sign?

Seems the guys we want are Sosphers Young Lee Sign Parker and Hampton. Only real problem is that of the 4 uncommitted we may not be the first choice of any of them so that means we have to reset the board pertaining to next options. OL Not a ton of unsigned kids out there but 2 we should try to get traction with are Doug Nester-seems inevitable he's not gonna stick with OSU. UGA seems to be trending. Javonne Shepard-we were in a solid spot early on and it seems to be Texas or TAM but we should kick the tires. DL All those MS kids remain unsigned. Young, Pickering, Moore and Gordon. Probably the order we prefer them as well. Should get visits from 3 of the 4 at least. Couple of FL kids not reported as signing with FSU yesterday are still there as well. LB If we feel the need and I feel the pass rushing OLB is something we should take a look at if space is there. How we skipped over this spot after missing on Harris and not gaining traction with Isaac is puzzling to me. Take 1 every year. Brooks is not that guy. Too small. David Uwoegbu from TX seems to be trending to Oklahoma or TAM but kick the tires. Desmond Little from AL. We checked him out early. CB I think yesterday's signings of Flott and Jones may have wrapped the CB class but if not some candidates. Jay Ward-raymomd loves him but I just think he lost his spot. Akeem Dent-been wavering from FSU for months. Weird we haven't publicly chased him but maybe he told us privately he has no interest. Find out. Travis Jay-another FSU kid. Great frame. DJ James-AL kid that a few staffs, namely Bama talked into holding off signing with MS St. Kid really rising. May be a S long term. S Not sure who we project here but we need 1. Couple of FSU kids didn't sign. Nick Cross, from MD, likely to Maryland but why not try. Brendan Gant is the other. Ranked the #2 S on rivals and I know literally nothing about him. Me personally, make sure we sign Parker, see how Hampton shakes out, take Lee, go hard for the Sopshers and go hard for any DL that we like enough to take. DL, DL, DL.

Yes, that is how you recruit!

And, I agree that Harris was huge miss from an in-state kid at a great position of need...played WR and CB in HS - has coverage skills and could have played OLB for the good guys instead of the bad guys. Harris has the speed to bring a significant pass rush...

Cheers but I was talking Kevin Harris that Bama swooped in and took. We damn near had him at one point.

I do agree we probably should've taken Christian Harris, especially now with hindsight. He and Lee are interchangeable to me but we could've taken both(still could Lee).

Well, even being slightly critical of the staff, the recruiting wins in 2019 are far greater than the misses.

If we finish strong with Sopshers and Lee, maybe they find a WDE/OLB that is really good and we need to fill this gap. Orgeron can and has pulled stuff out of nowhere...late in the recruiting cycle (with no previous relationship prior to December)...I believe in his recruiting ability...no so much on handling and picking OCs.

It is reasonable to expect that one year of experience of our Oline would move them from below average to average. Hines in place of Brumfield. If Rosenthal develops. Our strength, agility and quickness training has to improve. We know that Orgeron had a meeting with Moffit right after the TAM game.

Strength and explosion is what we need. The Bama lineman are significantly more explosive. Have a much better first step.

We have potential to move to above average.

Agree. I don't see any issue being critical if the staff as I am sometimes. It's part of the job they have. I'm also not a doomsdayer. A little luck and a great year on the field and anything can happen, under any staff. Malzhan won a title and played for another and I wouldn't take him over O.

? A&M won’t stay ahead

Don’t they already have like 25 signed? And they have a lesser average

So in your opinion, how many next years are we away?

Agree totally, but nevertheless, the tea leaves point to Sophser going to Bama. This is just going to be another troll job where some LSU fans will be holding out hope that he signs with the good guys, then on signing day it'll be like, "Well after consulting the Lord and my family, it comes down to a business decision..."

Away from what? I feel like you're changing the conversation with this question.
