Speaking of Allen Parish, there was a back from Kinder named Trinion Smith who played for Coach Johnny Buck who could motor.
Amen. Trinion won a state title with Coach Buck and had a fine career at USL.

Jim Taylor (Baton Rouge High School, LSU) was pretty good, no?
I'd say he's definitely the most accomplished RB to come out of LA.
5x Pro Bowl selection (1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964)
6x All-Pro selection (1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1966)
3x NFL champion (1961, 1962, 1965)
1x Super Bowl champion (I)
1962 AP NFL MVP
NFL 1960s All-Decade Team
Packers Hall of Fame
Packers career rushing yards leader (8,597)

Who in your estimation was the best running back to come out
Gil Fenerty!
Example: "Fenerty attended the College of the Holy Cross, where in 1983 he had an amazing game, rushing for 337 yards (on 18 carries) and 6 touchdowns versus Columbia University in a 77 to 28 victory."
Single-handedly brought Shaw High School to their knees, bitches!

Not sure Marshall Faulk was heavily recruited as a RB. I think Curly Hallman recruited Faulk as a DB
so did Dennis Erickson at Miami and every other big school, that's why he was at SD St, he was a supposedly a sick DB.
Same thing happened with Steve McNair.
