I know there’s a lot of people on here saying we don’t need 4 wide receivers this class, but for some reason he reminds me a lot of Justin Jefferson which has me pumped about him assuming he commits to us.

I'm not excited about a 4 WR class and like the 3 we have better. I hope I feel dumb about having this opinion in a few years, though.

He’s a baller for sure. He reminds me of Odell coming out of high school. Not saying he is going to be that caliber of player in college, but I think their high school film is similar

He's not in OBJ's class in regards to speed and athleticism.

He's a possession receiver type and a good one. Will be good running routes and making catches over the middle.

Burton on the other hand...he's more in the mold of OBJ. My favorite WR in the class. Great athlete, great hands, and really good speed.

why? did he just commit? If he has committed then I guess I am excited but I also don't think we need 4 WR's in this class and he would be by far the lowest rated of the 4. But if he is flying under the radar of the recruiting services, as many quality recruits do, and the coaching staff is high enough on him to accept his commitment, then I like the pickup.

Hasn’t committed yet but seems to be likely to land a commitment any day now.

I understand the reason to not want 4 wide receivers in this class especially with the talent we already have committed. But there’s something about this dude I really like. He seems disrespected by the ranking services for not having him as one of the top receivers in this class which I think puts a chip on his shoulder. Much like Justin Jefferson being ranked so low coming out of high school and earned his spot through working his arse off. I think that’s what we will get out of Koy at the absolute very least.

I think he's a good player, but he's going to have a ton of competition from just his classmates. That's even if one of them ends up flipping.

Looks like a possession receiver, but I am not in wowed by any of his highlights.

Of course catching the football is highly important. He seems to do that very well!

We got 3 stud receivers committed. We don’t need him. If he wanted in he shouldn’t have went and tried to “finish what Joe McKnight started”.

I felt the same way until I looked closer at the numbers.

We only signed one true WR last year. Given the new system and losing some WRs to graduation or the pros, we probably need four this year if they are good.

He's not even the same type of reciever. What a lazy comparison.

Nothing like Odell. Juice if anyone but even that’s not a good comparison... ide say Stephan Diggs but slower

Rakim player comp: Antonio Brown
Burton player comp: Stephan diggs
Boutte player comp: percey harvin

My only gripe is that LA is absolutely loaded at WR next cycle and there are several out of state that are showing high interest. There is a 5* WR from 21’ on campus right now and he’s already talking about setting up his next visit. Just by default we probably end up turning away guys at or above Moore’s level next year, but I understand the need to not count them before they hatch. Hopefully it’s truly a sign they’re looking to move towards more 4-5 wide sets and really plan on using them all.

If we don't sign him we will look back and regret it. Great route runner with Eric Martin hands. For those that are too young to remember Eric Meeting, think Jarvis Landy type. Tough, good routes and strong hands.
