Do you think Les will pull scholarships from kids who have been committed for months?

I wouldn't be suprised if a couple current commits dont end up in this class.

1. Landon Collins
2. Lorenzo Phillips
3. Denzall Devall
4. Dhaquille Williams
5. Jeremy Liggins
6. Channing Ward
7. Jeremy Hill
I think we shuffle two current commitments. It happens every year.
Collins will be an LSU Tiger. I'd put the odds at 80/20. You'll hear people claim Bama is actually a contender, but in the end, I don't see any way we lose Collins.
Phillips and Devall are the two linebackers Chavis wants. They're both in-state players, and the closer signing day comes, the more pressure they will feel from their families' to stay in-state. Devall is really hung up on the idea of playing in a 3-4, but from my experience, position becomes less important as signing day draws near. I fully expect us to sign Phillips. If we lose out on Devall, I think we'll sign Richie Brown.
Dhaquille Williams and Hill are both locks to be part of this class if they qualify or their legal situations are rectified. Both of these players are elite talents.
Alford is supposedly our top-ranked QB on the board, but the staff doesn't want to be left empty handed when the MLB Draft rolls around. Kragthorpe and Miles LOVE Liggins too supposedly. I think they take the safe route and sign Liggins, which would be an excellent pull.
I don't have anything but a hunch on Ward. Every year, Haley targets one defensive lineman who seems to be his "pet", and usually, he signs that player. Ward is Haley's "pet" this year judging from what I've read. I think he's the surprise of this class.
After all is said and done, Collins, Dhaquille Williams, and Jeremy Hill will be the best players out of this class.

This is the most confusing rule ever. I keep hearing different things about it.

I think it is more like LSU can't count back this year...
IIRC

We have little to no shot at 5 of the guys you listed, FWIW

You also don't have room to sign 26 guys as you listed 6 in addition to the current 20 commitments LSU already has

I think at least one currently commited guy will be given a greyshirt or politely asked to go somewhere else. Im aware we have 5 spots left, technically

What's the latest on your buddy from Spain Park, I don't think State is recruiting him anymore.
Posted on 10/10/11 at 4:52 pm to Al Bundy Bulldog
Now we have Vadal
21. Collins
22. Liggens/Alford I don't see us taking both
23. Ward/Edwards (I know its a long shot for Mario so its really just Ward)
24. Phillips/Devall (has anyone heard what Phillips has had to say after Sat.?)
25. Feel like Les will pull some sort of surprise as usual I just don't know who yet

Raphael Kirby
Do we have a legitimate shot? How solid to Miami is he?
Posted on 10/10/11 at 5:34 pm to Al Bundy Bulldog
I havent talked to him in a while. He has been in Tuscaloosa like every saturday they have had a home game though, so I would guess he will end up there. Watch out for UGA though, if Bama doesnt have a spot
Posted on 10/10/11 at 5:57 pm to BRtoATL
He is a 2013 guy. If he keeps his nose clean he will come here. He will be 25 before he graduates from LSU
