If you think Billy Napier is going to come into LA on a consistent basis and take players LSU wants, then you my friend are the fool.

Bama does well in Louisiana because Alabama is on the greatest run of all time right now. We'll see about how successful UF is recruiting Louisiana.

I don't think he'll get them all, that'd be silly. But he will be tremendously tough to recruit against on guys he goes all out on. LSU will always get the lions share of Louisiana kids, that's just common sense, but he will take a guy or two where y'all go "Damn, that sucks. we coulda used him". Napier is an excellent recruiter, anyone who says different is a fool.

Are you comparing Alabama with Nick Saban at the helm with his 6 titles for his current school to Florida with a newly hired HC from a G5 school? Cringe bro!

It would be hard to say Matthews would leave the state.

I know you fancy yourself as a insider, maybe you are and maybe you aren’t. But your above statement is dead wrong in this case. I think LSU ends up getting him but to say it’s hard to see him leave the state is wrong.

Napier is going to have to win at a high level in order to take guys from here. I think Florida is a tougher job than people realize, especially if Miami and FSU are right. There’s a reason only 2 guys have been really successful there over the past 50 years.

Mathews has had some stupid NIL offers thrown at him by A&M and Florida, which I don't think LSU could match.
I think he is a Tiger, but if he's not, it is because of the money.

Maybe. Nape and his staff have ties to Louisiana and they're all top notch recruiters, that's why we're gonna be in on a lot of these guys. BK is, I assume, a smart coach, so if he brings in a guy with ties to this area, I'm sure he can make decent inroads as well.

LSU has been plucking Fl for decades. We don’t need to hire FL guys and “make inroads”.

And we've done the same in Louisiana. SEC country has always been that way.

If you are talking about L kids...just stop. ULL and LSU dynamic is not and never has been whatever snake-oil fantasy Napier has been selling yall.
Saban is the only real threat to L kids LSU wants.
