With the same number of commits?

for idiot use only: This is in reference to average player rating NOT class ranking.

This is like kicking a field goal in the first five minutes of the first quarter and going up 3-0

Settle down

I guess that would be an improvement in home games tho

Cat, its February 18th...our class is stacked at the moment but lets not get ahead of ourselves. We have a long way to go and I don't want a Gump to have the pleasure of seeing us all ready celebrating

I know it means nothing. Trust me.

I don't really care about that. It'll take care of itself when we can find ourselves ahead of them on the scoreboard even once in a while...

Seriously?

Look, the top top players usually wait until national signing day. It may look nothing like this a year from now.

Look at my post history on this topic, idiot. Some of you need to learn what context means and how to identify it.

Why are people making these threads now? NSD for 2019 was literally a couple weeks ago. Being first at this time is pointless. Penn St, Miami, etc can show you that being #1 this early doesn't mean shite.

LSU needs to hit the out of state market hard this year, as we seem to be doing as of right now, because we don't have the top talent we usually do in state.

We need to load up on the front 7 this year. We are pretty solid at WR and gold at QB as far as commits go this early, even if one decides to go elsewhere. OTs and front 7 should take up at least half the class.

The answer to your question is 2009. We were #1 overall with an avg rating of 91.51. We signed 4 5 stars and 10 4 stars.

I'm sure that he knows about recruiting he just hasn't gotten used to the early signing period yet. It took me awhile to get used to it too.

we were #1 in America for the 2019 class at one time. we always start hot with early commits. after bama bumps and re-evals, were destined to drop. guys like ricks scare me. we just don't hold on to early, western 5* commits. it feels good now but it almost has an asterisk.

To answer your question, last year, we always jump out to a fast start. Bama and others catch up because they actually have a bunch of 4&5 stars committing and we start accepting 2&3 stars when the well runs dry.

It's a start, winning against them on the field has to start with changing the narrative about the direction of our program and with recruiting. The DE from TX that just committed said Ed O is the next great LSU coach when he committed. I had my doubts about him, but he is changing the perception that recruits have and that means we are headed in the right direction.
