you keep the fan support we will keep the National Titles and sending the best players to the NFL.

Those days are long gone, dude. These kids were 7 the last time Miami won a national championship. They have grown up in the era of SEC dominance.

Miami had a great run. And, sure there are still great Miami players in the NFL, but Miami is no longer an elite program. And, it's very possible that it won't be an elite program again ever.

we are in the most fertile recruiting ground known to man but we will not be elite again?

SOME of you LSU guys have some nerve. You sucked for 40 years before Saban now you guys are Notre Dame? lol If anyone should know the value of a good coach it is you boys.

How many undefeated seasons do you boys have in the last 30 years again?

People said that about Notre Dame, Alabama, USC, pick any school with a down period. Sniffy is mostly trolling you guys, but there is too much talent in So Fla to say could possibly never be elite again.

There is a big difference between having a very good team and an elite program.

Florida isn't going anywhere. They spend a ton of money on the program and are only going to continue to spend more money moving forward.

Florida State is CLEARLY doing the same thing. They are investing in the program and are going to do whatever it can to be one of the big boys.

If Miami doesn't modify its approach an commit to football, it is VERY possible that it is a distant #3 in the state.

The days of players flocking to Miami because it is Miami are pretty much over. Miami is going to have to rebuild itself, and that isn't going to happen without a commitment from the university.

Having said that, I'm not saying Miami can not become elite. All it would take is a choice. What I'm saying is that may not happen. College football was pretty small time from a money standpoint back when Miami made themselves as compared to today. There are real barriers to success now. Miami is going to have to start spending the way all successful programs do.

Miami sucked for 50 years before Howard Schnellenberger. What the hell has the U done in the last decade? Not much

We have struggled the last 7 years no doubt about it. But anyone anywhere will struggle making bad hires like we did with Cokehead and Blandy Shannon. Many of us in the know who had a functioning brain knew Blandy would fail miserably because he was inept.

However we have a competent man at the helm now. Remember Miami has won 5 titles with 4 different men since 1983. Miami makes the coach, the coach does not make Miami provided the coach is qualified.

This year you will begin to see what Miami will ultimately become under Golden. All the excuses of why we cant compete will be forgotten because frankly they are bogus.

Miami is a sleeping juggernaunt. Giants wont slumber forever.

Sniffy...You have flamed every thread you've entered on this board. I'm not even sure why you're still allowed to post here.

You know, I could agree here...but I would also say that these threads wouldn't be as fun without Sniffy's delusions of grandeur when it comes to Miami. And for the last time, there is no "U".

If LSU happened to be in the ACC, you could bet your bottom dollar we would have a few under our belt.
