When was the last time Texas was relevant? When was the last time LSU was relevant? Compare the last 20 years between Texas and LSU what do you have? NFL stardom? Lots of positives over Texas at LSU. The only thing Texas might have an argument on right now is a longer tradition of success. They haven't been very relevant since Vince Young's era.

Probably just waiting for ESD or signing day. Some recruits like to wait.

No doubt, and if you look at it historically Texas is the superior program. But what does any of that mean? You seem to think players should just pick the most successful team. Well then, let’s cut to the chase and rank the teams then have a draft - Bama goes first and picks their 25, then Ohio State, etc.

Since you lack critical thinking I'll explain it better for you: Recent success has a bigger lasting impression in recruiting on recruits who grew up seeing the success. That's your answer.

Texas = barely relevant the past 20 years

LSU = 4 NC appearances 3 titles and a few ball rolls away from multiple other NC appearances

LSU = NFL factory always in the top 5. Lots of young NFL superstars from LSU too. All this sells into recruiting over Texas. LSU having probably the best university success for DBs the past 20 years with maybe Bama being right alongside them. Not hard to understand.

It was over when he wore that LSU hat to an A&M game.

A good rule of thumb is uncommitted recruits in the instagram generation don't tip their hand. And if they do they're lying.

I dont think you will see a lot of commitments at this point of the season. Recruits are actively taking OV's and enjoying the sights. No sense spoiling the free visit ticket train at least for the ones who have choices.

I expect to see the commitments to ramp up in Nov but now that teams are not held to the 25 limit who knows what that will do to the timetable.
