I was excited about this Texas recruit. Was his position too crowded?

Hate when guys leave but half the guys that have left were from that 06 class. Miles first class. Unless you count 05.

He seemed promising from what i saw on rivals. Guys just dont oan out. Akways seems like oline is so hard to judge. You get ur 5stars that do well, but you also get ur three star guys always getting drafted 1st round. Seems more so on the oline.
Oline you got guys switching from tackle to guard, to center. Guys miving over from defense. Or tes moving over.

Yea OL is one of the more headier positions, especially tackle, so it's hard to project sometimes. You have DJ Fluker as an example. Physical freak, but the mental tools aren't there yet. Most OL in HS just have to push the opponent down and don't have to have a mental battle with just as talented DL that they end up experiencing in college.

its def a position that natural talent doesnt play a heavy role in. Seems like you really have to get coached up and have the talent to be successful on the oline. Experience also plays a big factor.

He started for Bama last year and played real well, IMHO.
