They had a generational run of talent in that area for a short period of time. It’s basically back to what it’s mainly been now. You also had a few people overhyped because there was a lot of attention with Sopsher and Smith being 5* talent in the area.
As a whole, since Covid, the recruiting rankings haven’t spent as much time evaluated La recruits. There was a point in time where the LSU elite camps had multiple reps from every service, now they just come around for the state championship games. One of the scouting directors on 247 a few years ago admitted that they don’t spend much time in La and needed to do more. It was the year of Arch, and the only time anyone was in the state was to watch him. There were so many kids misranked both high and low over the past few years, it’s made it pointless to keep up.

He has his own barber shop in Amite. But it's been said he will become Pete Golding's DL coach at Ole Piss.
