I love Yates so hopefully he comes here.
I know we never really had a shot, but I think Stojakovic's kid is my favorite recruit in this class

Looks like yates just set a commitment date yesterday.
He is ranked as the No. 30 overall player and No. 2 shooting guard in the 247Sports Composite ranking. He is also the second-best player from Texas.

Yes, he was really high on our list but we found out that he was trending away a few weeks ago.
According to Tipton/On3, it's now between Washington (55%) and LSU (45%). Apparently, there is a family member on the UW staff recruiting him hard...

Wesley is a heck of a player, and very intelligent. He's top 5 in his graduating class as well. He used to hang around alot of the older 2020 kids I coached on the AAU circuit at practice and in games. I'm very hopeful it's LSU but I would be shocked for a few reasons.
His old Beaumont United teammate and best friend Terrance Arceneaux is at UH and Texas just hired Brandon Chappelle as an assistant who everyone here is familiar with and knows very well.
I know his family/him are not leaking anything to anyone around him, but I'm leaning Texas on this one. Hope im wrong.

Yates seems to be really close with Alexis Morris (one of the best players on the LSU womens team)
Not sure of their relationship, but she put up pics on IG with his whole family when he visited LSU.

Starting to think the relationship with the Washington coach will win in the end. Still hopeful but not as confident as I was a few days ago.
