re: We offered Bourque as a RB today

where is the flaw in that analogy?
All recruits want to play for coaches with NC rings. Nick Saban has 2 rings to Les' 1.
If recruits ONLY cared about rings, then they would rather play for Saban than Miles.
Obviously more goes in to it than that, but that's my original point. Just because Sherman doesn't have a NC ring doesn't mean recruits don't want to play for him instead of a coach with a NC ring. We currently have recruits that have offers from Texas, OU, and LSU amongst other schools with coaches that have NC rings

It sounds like he's spending a lot of time telling either the the kid or his dad how little Les cares about his players.
Somebody is definitely drilling that into their heads.

I don't mean that he's getting money, I mean that he's very vocal about inserting himself into the recruiting process. Maybe Newton's dad isn't the right comparison. How about Storm Johnson's dad? That one work a little better?
That's what I've been saying. His dad is an attention whore and it wouldn't surprise me if it was him that posted earlier in this thread.

They believe what their CO's tell them whether its Jackie saying they are clean, Slocum telling them not to worry about what Mack does in Austin or this guy telling them he'll get any Louisiana recruit they want.
Chinese, you're a good poster so surely you don't believe this.
Jackie was told to win at all cost. That's no secret even amongst Ags.
Slocum shouted from the rooftops that if we were to hold off Mack and Texas that we needed to update facilities but the admin didn't spend the money on it at the time. Thankfully we are finally catching up to the elite schools in the bricks and mortar race
Sherman has never said he can get any La recruit he wants and NOBODY believes that, not even the most delusional Ags. Any recruit we get from La is going to be a dog fight or LSU didn't push for hard. We will lost almost every battle but it's worth it if we land some of the kids we want

where? I've been at work all day, I didn't see the entire thread.
I think it was this thread, it was a couple weeks ago.
We were questioning why the dad was so overly involved and this guy got all pissy, said he was at LSU when Bourque visited, parents need to look out for their kids so grown men don't lie to them, yada yada yada. The lying part seems to make a lot of sense right about now.
ETA: It was a different Bourque thread LINK

and sorry for posting so much on this thread. I'm waiting for the Aggie baseball game to start but it's on rain delay and Im just adding my opinion/Ag point of view to the discussion

You and Smoke Ring aren't bad and a few others I'm forgetting too, just keep aggiealphamale out of here.

It's funny, bourque isn't the only recruit that has called out Miles's integrity. However the Only other one I can think of was Jarrett Fobbs. ANYONE see a pattern?
This is a battle Sherman will undoubtedly lose if he starts bringing integrity into play

Smoke Ring is good people. Saw his briefly yesterday tailgating the baseball game.
TexAgs is a good site (the premium boards) but you know how it goes sometimes, one person claims something, one person repeats it and then all of a sudden it's a fact that isn't disputed. The rantards do it too!

IDK if it has been said and don't feel like looking, but Bourque is at LSU right now with his dad per Mike Coppage/ Clean

I hope they tell him to take a hike.

Davante said he was leaving CS on Sunday and would be at LSU on Tuesday I think.
His plan was to go to LSU on Sunday and next weekend to A&M for the 3 day camp but he is going to Mississippi that weekend so he skipped the LSU one day camp for the A&M one day camp but was still going to go to LSUs campus. For some reason I thought he said he was going to another campus as well but can't remember or find where he said that

No our camp is a 4 day camp (Sun-Wed). He made it over with pops and didn't skip anything.

go back one page and read my post that ends with:

I don't think too many more are going to believe the "Les is an a-hole that doesn't take care of his kids" story.
Fortunately most kids are not going to believe whatever tales are being told.
Losing a kid doesn't bother me. I don't mind losing a recruit once in a while to a state we poach from.
I don't like to hear a kid say LSU doesn't care about academics.
I doubt he could have formed this opinion from talking with the LSU coaching staff.
Nearly every post-LSU visit recruiting article has at least one quote from the kids saying the first thing the LSU caoches did was show them the academic center before seeing any of the other facilities.
I have to believe kids are being told this is the case and unfortunately, some might be believing it.
