Look, Lane made lemonade out of lemons with Chambliss but he isn’t anywhere near the talent of Leavitt, Sorsby or Joseph. We need to swing for the fences at QB.
Chambliss is definitely more talented than Joseph and the difference between the other two is arm strength. Also, Chambliss never had a game this year anywhere close to the 3 worst games Sorsby had.
I'll give you that every single one of these guys is athletic, exactly what I what in a QB, but why would I take the less accurate version of Chambliss in Joseph, IF I had a choice? Why would I take the possibility of a guy coming off a lisfranc injury and be less than he was before and/or have some lingering issues, IF I had a choice? Sorsby is nice, but why would I take him over the guy who has already been in this system and played in the conference IF I had the choice?
First option should always be Chambliss. We're not worried about the NFL, we're worried about winning the national championship. I'd take Underwood, Byrum Brown, Sorsby, and Joseph in that order after. I'm sorry, Leavitt's injury is too much to overlook.

Fireworks coming as soon as the portal opens! Believe that. Guys like Curne LSU didn't want to spend the money they were probably demanding. Not because LSU didn't have it but because they didn't think they were worth the $$$ amount. Lane is going to heavily rely on the portal just as he did Ole Miss. He already told you his philosophy. Sign the best HS players like 15 of those guys like we just did, then go all in on portal. He'd rather spend on a guy who's proven than a guy like Curne who gives you a few games freshman year then leaves. He will get a stud at QB. I think it will be Chambliss.
The disrespect for Chambliss on here is unreal. He was great in the SEC. None of those other guys can say that. He's safe and good enough to win it all for you. Who knows? Maybe he takes the next step.

What next step? He’s out of eligibility and it’s unlikely he gets the waiver he’s trying to obtain. I’m fine with whoever Lane chooses but I really hope its not DJ Lagway or the kid from Nebraska.

I said the same thing to my wife earlier today. I don’t think they can do that, but I think they would try.
But at the rate they’re losing lawsuits to 8 Mile Pavia, I think they’ll just rubber stamp most of these requests.

I agree with you we need two high quality guys to duke it out. Didn’t kiffin have 5qbs this year?
Idk if we can get Colton and cj in same class but Colton or cj and another super well thought of div2 guy or sunbelt g5 type player that wants a step up but hasn’t quiet shine like cj and Colton
