It’s all about needs and fit. We will have a top 2 class this year people. They also might see something in the transfer portal for next year? Who knows but this staff has tons of resources, more than any pay site or any of us. Those guys do this and have done this for decades. We’ll get what we need and want.

We still get Todd Harris back from injury as well.

Are you forgetting about Arik Gilbert at TE

I’ve only seen him once, in the Catholic game. Was by far best player on field. I only saw J Hester play one game also in the finals . Was by far best player on field. Sign him up.

Does Kaufman run under 4.6? Does he jump over 35 in vert?
If I’m taking a 5’9” safety he better be an explosive freak. Not just a damn good football player.
When I watched him I was very impressed, but his pure athleticism didn’t jump out. That’s the difference between TM7 and this kid to me.

Exactly. Not knocking Kaufman because he does look really impressive but where's the upside? Reed has plenty. Also Embody has said another school had Kaufman at 5'8. That's a tough draw. Remember Micah Eugene. He blew up particularly in the playoffs and was the next honey badger and barely saw the field. More kids like this fail than succeed at this level.

Eugene redshirted and then played in every game the next two years. Was very good blitzing, “hardly played” doesn’t describe Eugene very well.

He’s in high school and just about always wrong. Don’t pay him mind

Yes, Kaufman is a great player and I want to take him. Just don’t think Burns was the right player to drop

Based on his tape, I’d say his vertical is definitely at least that good.

Skip to 3:05 in the highlight in this thread if you want to see an impressive play.
He jumps to bat down a potential throw, but the quarterback pump fakes and tucks it to run.
Kaufman lands with barely any momentum and the ball carrier coming at him at full speed.
Kaufman stands the guy up at the goal line. Pretty damn impressive play.
