Burns was set to play CB but with Stingley locking down a spot, Ricks coming in also Flott and Ward stepping up and Raydar Jones in the fold we felt to use a spot on a second safety.

My prediction is that Burns spot is being filled by Donovan Kaufman. That gives us Two safeties in Toles and Kaufman. Also Kaufman seems like he can play safety or nickel back so he would step into the Kary Vincent Role.

Ricks for Fulton
Toles for Delpit
Kaufman for Vincent

I think it'll be Reed for Kaufman as far as recruits

Actually I’m wrong Vincent is Junior and I don’t expect him to leave early. Idk what’s going on.

I’d love to get Kaufman. Guy looks like Honey Badger Jr out there. Killer safety prospect.

Seems the Kaufman hype train has left the station. Hopefully the guys here are better at evaluating talent than the 247 staff

Our staff has done an excellent job of evaluating talent the last few years. That includes CB and S. Whichever guy the think fits this team better, I’m all for it. I only hope that this recommit is because we are going after someone better. And I do have faith in that as well.

After ready more about each, I’d be happy with Reed and Kaufman

I've seen both play this season in person multiple times and Kaufman is better. A lot better. He's a big time playmaker. Very physical and great instincts. He will be one of those under the radar guys that becomes a real player for us.

Did I miss where LSU is going after Kaufman?

Kaufman had an incredible state championship. However, he played like a 3/4 star prospect all year. He's also 5'9. While I think the kid is good and has potential, I think some are far over-reacting to him.

If we're going for a safety to take Burns' place, we should be able to do better than Kaufman.

I'm just telling you my opinion from what I watched. Apparently the staff doesn't think either is good enough for this class. I do think Kaufman would make it most years though.
