This is a big deal. Confidence is starting to build with Young after the departure of Lupoi from Bama. Reel him in Coach O!

His primary and secondary recruiters are Pete Golding and Craig Kuligowski. If the later left, as he’s rumored, it would be more problematic.

Looking at Young's Twitter

January 7 he posted "It's still roll tide"

January 10 he posted "They leaving like it ain't nothing" with a pondering emoji.

*insert looking eyes emoji of my own*

I believe he’s wavering. And yes Tosh may have not been his primary recruiter but he was the Co-Defensive Coordinator and best defensive recruiter on staff. Him leaving makes an impression. How big or small? Idk.

Bama knows what’s coming...luckily they’ve signed 25 4 and 5 stars prior to this exodus

I was never completely sold on his commitment to Bama. He may very well sign with the Gumps, but he's not as solid/ lock like many make him out to be IMO.

Give it our best shot and see what happens. Same with Pickering this weekend and do all we can to get Charles Moore's last visit.

I want...

Ika
Ish
Pickering
Young
Moore
Evans
Rodney

...for our DL haul this year.

I know...it's one too many.

Is Bama just not willing to pay Young. The record payment for Trey Sanders must not be sitting well with the recruits.

He didn't look all that great in the army bowl a couple weeks back. Ika took him down with one arm at the line of scrimmage...he had momentum before that, too.

It's really strange, because Sanders is like #5 nationally...should drop any second...any second now.

I believe Emery and Davis will both be better in college.

This is the guy I want above all else. I’d love Pickering and Moore too but I don’t think we have a shot with either. NT is nailed down with Ika and Shelvin those two are going to do great in the middle next year. Now we need to keep adding dominant DE like LSU has always had. Last years class will produce a couple good players like Davin Cotton but we need to keep loading up. If LSU can land Byron Young along with Sophser this class to pair with Roy and Jackson in 2020 we will be well on the way to leveling the playing field in the trenches with Alabama.

I have a friend that works in that school. Says that he comes from a really good family. I was also told that he is a very good kid. This person opinion was that he wouldn’t adjust well in Saban’s rigid structure. They thought he would be more comfortable with a coach that was a player’s coach. I have know idea if he will swap, but I think talking to my friend it’s certainly possible. I was told this in early November.

I’m feeling better and better as of late. If Craig Kuligowski ends up leaving...I’ll feel really good!

I been getting a feeling there's a lot of players on LSU's radar that pick LSU and fill out the rest of the class and will ultimately leave no room for Ish and his brother. From what I understand O has said he is taking the best available with a first come first serve mentality. I mean, does anybody think he holds out 2 scholarships for Ish and Rodney when he has others that want in with this class?
