There are very few true pgs out there in the portal. The one they wanted committed to ole miss. So they may end up having to settle for a combo guard, with that said Deja is not the one I would want. Her shooting has historically been much worse than Van Lith for years. This would be like trying to settle for another Hailey in the portal with worse stats and I just struggle to see Kim doing that after everything that happened this year

Yeah if true it would surprise me and is disappointing Kim went this way 2 years in a row. This is Hailey 1.0.
The volume of shots she shoots and the results are worse than Hailey’s numbers.

I find it hard to believe that it’s Deja because has she even had an official visit? has anyone for that matter, we haven’t heard anything other than Whitehorn was planning on coming for one soon

Is Flaujae not an option at pg ? Seems to have all the tools to me. She certainly can blow by most defenders and get to the goal.

I’m sure they could make Flaujae of MK work if they actually worked on it good for a full offseason but they would prefer not to

No doubt an experienced pg would be the best option but I feel like lacking that, Flaugae's ceiling would be really high.

She sure as hell isn’t coming here to sit the bench. She sure as hell isn’t starting over Flau’jae or Mikaylah.
Looks like another project we are going to try and shoehorn into a PG and a worse shooter than HVL.

One positive is she has a bit more length than HVL at 5-8, but why the frick can’t we get a good playmaking and defensive PG out of the portal?

Yes, though most of those are depth pieces except PG.

And while HVL worked hard, she just never quite adjusted to the speed and physicality of the SEC compared to the ACC. Kelly likely will have the same problem.

Grace Van Slooten just announced her transfer to Michigan State…that was out of left field. Apparently she was down to them and Baylor.

They missed on practically all of their targets in recruiting except for Richard, who probably won’t contribute much next year. So far the portal has been very quiet.

Lame. Makes me also wonder why the other girl left Mich St? I just don't get that. Not for Ole Miss? They (Mich St) finished 4th in their conference.
