Real talk: the Oklahoma schools are starting to feel the pinch more than anyone on A&M and TCU's recruiting. Look at their classes.

UT will always be fine in Texas. LSU? We'll see if the future is as good as the recent past, or more like the 80s - 90s.

You mean the guy that got the hell beat of him by Southern Miss. That gimmick offense will not work in the SEC; just ask Sherman. And by the way, the out of touch white guy just got hired back into the NFL. Let's see if Sumlin can coach without Briles' legacy and in the SEC.

Alright Big Kat We will see! How you think that spread and jv D Sumlin runs will do in the SEC West against top dogs like LSU and Alabama?

I guess we get to find out. Pretty exciting really. Florida and LSU at Kyle Field this year. That's the major leagues broseph

Enjoy being K-State's bitch in the Big 12

Good talent wasting like Garrett Gilbert, Connor Wood, or John Chiles?

Maybe you mean Darius White, Mike Davis, or Dan Buckner?

No? Trey Allen? Is that who you're thinking of?

Oh, Tevin Mims, got it.

Well, you bring up a good point considering Traylon Shead and Chris Whaley.

Oh, nah, he means Taylor Bible...

A&M joining the SEC was bad for LSU from the get-go, no matter who the coach is.

I don't think aTm can really try to insult LSU's program or talk crap right now.

Doesn't matter about Kyle Field, what matters is you guys are rebuilding and it would be a major upset if you beat LSU next year. Is it possible? sure, but you guys were supposed to beat us last time we played and we know how that turned out. Not trying to be elitist or anything, just pointing out that LSU is set for a NC-type run in 2012 and aTm is picking up the pieces of a diappointing year and losing almost all the leadership from 2011. There is always a lag period when a new coaching staff comes in.

As a fan I like Sumlin alot, but the DC Mark Snyder will determine his success.

Right now our roster is pretty solid everywhere but the place you need depth to win in the nation's premier conference: DLine.

We have some talent but depth is a real concern. Snyder must find a way to maximize on-field results with what we have on campus in order to win enough to have some momentum in recruiting.

I feel we have the horses on offense to win on that side of the ball but our new DC needs to give top flight DL recruits a reason to be optimistic about our defense's future if we are going to have a punchers chance long term.

in talking with some of my Aggie friends im starting to think that the Sumlin hire could be bad news for tiger fans.

they all agreed that it was time for the stereotype coach from A&M to go, old out of touch white guy. They are thrilled that they now have a younger minority coach who can go into Houston and Louisiana and sell the black players on A&M. Lets face it, anyone who has been to College Station knows its a tough sell for any inner city kid, i wouldnt call it the best looking town or campus, and im sure the smell of shite doesnt get them too excited.

now that they have a coach who the kids can relate to will go a long way in their favor IMO. Now with them getting Golden and Im hearing hes already on a bunch of LA kids for 13, its going to be interesting to see where he takes the program.

I still say thats a trap game next year in CS.

Firstly, I think he's a good coach. But, I can see some kids feeling that way.

seriously, if Sumlin has anything going for him its that UTexass doesn't seem to have a rudder these days. how do you not win 10 games a year at Texas with their facilities/recruiting base/talent?

Sumlin may smell blood in the water, but it's with the recruits Texas/OU usually get, not LSU.

LSU will still get a few.

They do win 10 games a year, except for the last 2 years. They will bounce back. Their class this year is legit.

I really hate defending UT, by the way.

First time since the 1930's that Texas didn't have a winning conference record 2 straight years. Things aren't well in Austin. They lost to Baylor 2 years in a row for christs sake. All these great players they are getting aren't panning out on offense at all

Dear Lawdy, no! Not anutha one a dem? Please cut the crap! Black, white, pink, purple or blue he still has to basically rebuild the program from the ground up, prove himself and earn his creds. And by the way, have you seen the A&M uniforms? If you replace the helmet with a hood, ??? Please stop being so frickin racist!!!
