I doubt he misses much of the LSU game and hopefully he’s thinking this through or has someone that knows how long traveling can take sometimes, even on a private jet, which will cut the time down exponentially. Why fly into Lafayette when you can land right there in Baton Rouge and be there in short order? He would be able to catch the entire ND game that way. He may be going early to get the experience, meet some people, get some fans hyped up, catch half the game then head back. Like people said, I’d like him to be in Death Valley to hang with and speak to all the other guys visiting. Some big names coming!

Yeah if he stays the entire ND game there's no way he is making kick-off. And I would imagine they family he is flying with isn't taking their private jet up there for just one half of the biggest ND game of the year. Probably halftime arrival in BR if everything were to go smooth.

Not if he flies private. He could be back around 6.

Considering the recruits coming in for the Auburn game I would think O and staff would make arrangements for him to fly directly into BR and get escorted to the game.

Non Stop flight is 1:45 to 2:15 flying small-mid jet.

Very doable. That would def beat my two games in one day.

He is flying on a family friend's jet. If they live in Lafayette why would they fly back in to Baton Rouge?

Because of the game and because they would have to drive from Laffy. Please try and pay attention.

The question is how long is Howard willing to wait to play
Johnson will be a jr and brennan will return as a sr
Nuss will be a fr with a redshirt since it's not likely he plays in the min number of games

That's assuming all stay - does Nuss wait that long

QB's are not going to wait three years to play if they are good enough

At Notre Dame what kind of NIL will that bring in for him compared to LSU

Does he not have confidence in O or is LSU would have a potential coaching change

How long does Kelly stay at ND?

A lot of moving parts

I am. You think that family wants make a pit stop in Baton Rouge or just wants to fly straight back home?

He’ll play sooner than you think

Walker is better than both Nuss and Max

Maybe they are going to the game also. We are talking 10-20 mins out of the way. You think it is impossible to do and I have just shown you that it he has told both sides that he will be there. What else do you want?

Are you sure that they aren't leaving out of BTR and returning to BTR?

I agree Howard could potentially beat out Johnson and Nuss

Johnson experience will be hard to trump though
Being a jr, that is enough of a gap for Howard to sit a year to learn and be ready when his time comes

If Brennan wants playing time he probably needs to look elsewhere as LSU needs to worry about the future

I think he can still make it. That’s an easy flight

He can make it but no way for kickoff

1:30 for ND, that game might be over about 5, if they are flying into South Bend, lets say they get on a plane out of there by 6 (optimistic), it's an over 2 hour flight to Lafayette, they arent flying to baton rouge (flying out of lafayette). So then an hour to the game from there.

I'm thinking about halftime or so which would be about 9:30-10.

They could also leave the ND game early, but sounds like he's at the mercy of the people who are offering up the free plane ride.

The family friends likely arent flying from LAfayette to South Bend then to Baton Rouge and then bacl to Lafayette, that's silly. What if they dont even care about the LSU game? IT's not up to the Howard's here, they are flying on someone's elses jet who is taking their trip up to South Bend.

Dude what are you talking about. I'm not arguing that he won't be there. I said that he will be late based on the fact the apparently Shea said that they were flying in and out of Lafayette.

He wants to be back in time to watch the LSU/Auburn game, so he plans to attend both games. Extremely unlikely he makes kickoff, but hopefully by halftime is here. Sounds like plan is to fly back after ND game to Lafayette, which then he would still have to drive over to Baton Rouge after that...great timing would probably be about halftime or so. That is assuming they stay the whole game up there which would be done around 5-530 or so.

Long story as short as possible - family friend planned to take their private jet up to south bend to see the game, invited Howards along. They told LSU about it weeks ago, we ok'd it

More worried about the friend's private jet than ND flipping him. Safe travels to all.

He is rooming with WIll Campbell. They are locked in. Even if O were to leave, he would be replaced with someone that would be a major hire.

But I hate to hurt people's feelings, I don't think O is going anywhere unless it is a complete and utter failure this year. 2019 gives him some leash to get everything clicking and the roster right. I don't get people wanting to blow this thing up. Doing that causes results that are felt over several seasons/cycles.

This is just the beginning if the O rumors continue. All of these big recruits are going to keep their options open.
