This is the problem with young kids who transfer to another school where they aren't guaranteed to be the new starter. They have no idea what that school is going to recruit while they're waiting for their chance. Howard knew he was going to Ole Miss to be a backup in year 1. What he didn't contemplate was Ole Miss signing another QB the same year he committed. He also didn't contemplate Dart returning in 2024. As it stands, had he stayed at LSU, he'd be a RS Junior next year with probably a leg up on any other QB to start next season.
