Howard doesn’t blow me away anyway. I liked nuss in high school better and obviously now too

Howard was an excellent QB in High school and prospect, but so was JD5 and so was Nuss. QB is the most development position in a sport that is a highly development sport, more so than baseball (which is also a development sport) and way, way, way more than basketball.

Kelly has seen JD5, Nuss and Howard all for the last year or so (JD5 since March 2022). Seems pretty clear that going into the Spring JD5(1), Nuss is clear (2) and Howard is 3.

LSU needs to get JD5 ready, and Nuss as 2 because I think this team has a real, real chance to make a run next year. Get past FSU, I like LSU's chances of being 8-0 heading into to play Little Nick Saban.

I like the fact that we have a guy that can give us a spark off the bench if we need it in a game where jds skill set isn’t working

Well let me say up front, JD5 is the starter. But, I do think Nuss will get a series in the 1st half of a games early on. Not sure FSU in game 1, but Grambling at home in week 2 and Arkansas at Home in week 4, no doubt. Hopefully by the Mizzou game (game 6), LSU is rolling and that game is such that Nuss can get some road SEC experience and get to run the offense.

And if JD5 gets nicked in a game and needs to come out, Kelly it now appears has confidence that Nuss is ready to run the offense at a high level.

He was 100% when he said it. I can only assume this is Jordy covering his base because he called Howard the truth and the future of LSU football. He also just said Bama has no QB talking about Milroe.

Might be true, I don't know what Jordy's angle was in saying that Kirby and Saban were both dying to get Howard to come to Bama. His wording was cryptic enough to suggest that if Howard goes to Bama or UGA, he could easily win the starting job.

I think enough posts have documented the QB depth at both Bama and UGA so not going to repeat it.

Howard might wind up at Bama and UGA, but he is in a more difficult roster situation at both Bama and UGA than LSU. So if he wants to go to a program that finished in the top 10 this year and also have a chance to be no worse than QB2, TCU seems like a spot. Penn State has a SR QB and all 3 of their backups were Freshman, either True or RS. Washington seems in a similar situation after Pennix. Behind McCarthy at Michigan, what do they have?

So to me Bama and UGA's QB room both look stacked with lots of elite prospects. Some of these other programs in the final AP top 10 this year, not so much. They have starters but not much behind them.

Excuse my ignorance but what did Jordy do to get his platform? I obviously know about his show but never listen to it and seems like he spews BS at times according to people on this site

Yes I have heard this, but he has offers from other schools as well. I think he goes to TCU just because of Bech.

He'll have just as much if not more competition at both. The QB cupboards are far from bare at Bama and UGA.

Milroe was their backup this year. He can’t hit the side of a barn from the inside. Bama has no QB.

Milroe struggled vs. Aggie, I agree. They have 3 other top 100 47 composite recruits on campus. Simpson, 5*, Holstein 4* and Lonergan 4*. Holstein and Lonergan are already bigger than Howard and got 15 bowl practices with Bama for the Cotton bowl.

My question is what makes you think Howard can go in beat all 4 of those guys out?

My other question is why didn't Saban go after a bridge QB with experience and try to get the NC State QB that went to UK or the Wake Forest QB that went to Notre Dame. Hartman would be a 6th year super senior with like 13,000 passing yards in his 5 years at Wake. Leary in 4 years (he had a injury this year) put up close to 7,000 yards there.

Daniels returning three everything off. Howard was not going to do scout team another year. Can’t blame him

Honestly I don't care where he goes...We have (2) QB's that are just better...He wants to play and I don't blame but find a team where you can play and not sit behind other QBs...That is what I would think he wants and I don't believe that is Georgia or Alabama and Florida who knows...They would be better off getting somebody who is in the Portal that has actual game experience...
