The NCAA might have insisted on a 48 hour waiting period because Muschamp was there. Coaching staffs are not allowed to be present when LOI's are signed.
Good grief... Alex Huntley signed an LOI at that same ceremony and is listed as "signed" under all recruiting services.

These people will not let this “Oh noz Muschamp was at the ceremony” shite go.
It’s not a violation, it’s not relevant, the NCAA does not care.

Okay guy, the NCAA did not reach out and impose an off-procedure 48 hr waiting period in secrecy. That notion is less likely than Gmaws Bday signing.

NLI Provisions
quote:
A coach or an institutional representative may not hand deliver this NLI off the institution's campus or be present off campus at the time I sign the NLI per NCAA rules. This NLI may be delivered by express mail, courier service, regular mail, email or facsimile. An NLI submitted to an institution electronically is permissible.

quote:
No. A coach cannot be present when you sign an NLI off-campus. Pursuant to NCAA rules, any in-person, off-campus contact made with a prospect for the purpose of signing an NLI or attendance at activities related to the signing of the NLI is prohibited. A coach is also prohibited from in-person delivery of the NLI to you off-campus.

I would assume you get an exemption if you want to go to a ceremony at your kid's school.

Unless said coaches son is also signing? Yes i know he was a PWO, but do you really think the NCAA would bring down the hammer over that?

When Stanley Roberts was recruited I think one of his uncles was arrested and the family was told he wouldn't be released unless he chose the local school.
Well let's arrest his relatives in Louisiana. Easy peazey.

"he's coming" as in CEO has the LOI in hand?
Posted on 2/6/20 at 3:44 pm to TheCaterpillar

But the school isn't going to stop him from graduating because he didn't choose USCe.
If the Burch family accepted "impermissible benefits" in exchange for him going to SC. and he's now backing out, they don't have to stop him from graduating. They can just leak that info. Hurts him way more than it hurts the program.

USCe would still have to report self violations in your hypothetical and that could potentially lead the ncaa to come around sniffing.
