Dante Moore will cost Underwood. Who has the higher ceiling?

Moore would be a junior when Underwood is a Freshman, so doubtful taking Moore effects Underwood.

I know you're always looking to improve, but with Nuss having two years, Hurly coming in, and seemingly Underwood on deck I like where we are.

To me I wouldn't mind a "veteran backup", but in college football who wants to come to a school just to be number 2.

Are you saying that because he's black? Dante Moore is not really a runner.

I bet you thought Trey Quinn, who ran 4.5 at the combine and 4.4 at his pro day, was a lunch pail guy.

Fixed it for you. You've moved from hating on Daniels to hating on whoever comes to take the spot, again.

Moore would be a two year starter and draft eligible by the time Underwood starts classes

shite, Walker Howard went from 3rd string at LSU to 3rd String at Ole Miss. So, heck, anything is possible.

You need to let Shea know. I’m just repeating what I read.

Very happy that Daniels progressed and developed as a player. Cheered him on just like I like I cheered in everyone on the team.

I was talking about Moore and Underwood. The mental gymnastics it took to bring up Nuss was nothing short of spectacular. Why do you hate Nuss so much? The inly person hating is you.

Yeah, but there's no guarantee Underwood will commit, stay committed, sign, and/or not transfer. A lot can happen in 12+ months (disastrous season/record, ungodly NIL offer, coordinator/assistant coach attrition, family illness that keeps him close to home, etc...)

If you can, you bring in talent to compete now. LSU is one injury away from a 3-10 season with Collins or Hurley at the helm.

I agree. You bring in the best talent you can and let them compete. I like Nuss but he hasn’t proven enough to ignore recruiting that position.

Dante is great, but people need to slow the roll on him being the next JD. Dante isn’t anywhere close to being a runner

Getting Underwood would be great but I'm looking at next season. Bring in the best we can because having two freshmen QBs to back up Nuss is not the healthiest situation. If Dante Moore wants to come here, come on, and he'll only be a true sophomore.

I keep telling people that his comparison is CJ Stroud. Moore definitely needed a redshirt year and the idiots, not saying anybody on this board is one, that think he's a bust because he didn't look ready to go as a true freshman, are clueless.

Yep, that’s it. Your stupidity caught me. I only view athletics in terms of race. ??

Dante is highly accurate and a great pocket passer, also tall (unlike Dillion Gabriel) and has a strong arm.

You should get off of TD and go back to flipping burgers.

This board is filled with idiots.

If memory serves me correctly, JD5 was a “run first, pass second QB” last season, but with development and technology, has blossomed into a Heisman candidate. I never thought that would happen and enjoyed my crow thoroughly. Burrow wasn’t much different in his first year, albeit conversely to JD5s abilities.

Dante has the pocket presence (behind a good OLine) and arm strength/accuracy akin to JD5 and while he may not be as fast as JD5, teaching a QB to find the gaps and gain yards isn’t rocket science.

I’d only bring Dante on board to compete with Nuss. We’ll need a competent #2 in case of injury. Collins and Hurley aren’t there IMO. And Underwood going to TTUN is more likely than LSU.

The irony of you hating on Nuss. Nobody is coming to take the spot and damn sure not beef stew.

It will because what if Moore for whatever reason stays for his senior season , definitely affects Collins and Nuss as well
