Keeping Berry, Durham, and getting Lacy would be the most ideal but I doubt we get to keep all 3 in the same room. I know Kevin Smith had a meeting with Berry and his parents to keep him locked in at LSU. You all know damn well FW gonna use his familiarity to try bring him to OM. Durham is the unknown as well. Been hurt a bunch so has potential but hasnt shown it.

Rueben Owens and Le’Veon Moss are the 2 to watch imo. Owens had a good season with Moss hurt, but now with Moss being healthy, splitting carries between them might be tough. If Lacy sticks with OM (Rumors about crazy NIL bump), I would definitely kick the tires on A&M RBs and potentially add someone like CJ Baxster from UT as well…

Sheppard at Duke should be the first call if we lose a guy or two.

100% yes on Sheppard. I’d love to see us give him a call home.

Just saw Florida hired the Duke RB coach. I’d bet Sumrall is trying to get Sheppard.

You all are sick if you think Durham AND berry are staying once lacy comes in, best case scenario Durham leaves and Berry stays. There’s a very real possibility they both leave albeit for different reasons

Each one of these RB’s is gonna want a guarantee that they will be the bell cow. It’s gonna be real hard to get two of these on the same roster. My vote would be berry and Lacey. Berry is just a freshman and would grow more next year and potentially be the best RB in the country in two years. His ceiling is high. All of this doesn’t work without an o line that is remarkably better than 2025 though.

I don’t see LSU being able to keep Berry, Durham, and bringing in Lacy.

2/3 is best realistic outcome IMO. I’d say that it is 50/50 that Berry or Durham stays at LSU if Lacy transfers in. Seems LSU may be prioritizing Berry over Durham.

With this staff I can definitely see all 3 staying. But if not then I agree with them, I’d rather keep Berry over Durham

Is that the same Le’Veon Moss who only has made 100 carries 1 time in his 4 years at A&M? He gets hurt A LOT and even got hurt in the Miami game which was his first game back after missing several games due to injury.

Moss should be able to qualify for a medical redshirt if he wants to. He missed most of this season I think but you are right...technically he is a senior.

Something to watch. Sheppard had offers from Tulane and Ole miss. Ole Miss was the second school to offer him. Vandy was first. He also took a visit to Ole Miss right before he committed to Vandy.

I think Ole Miss finished second in that race. Don't be surprised if Kevin Smith pulls this one off. But nothing implies that Sheppard wants to leave Duke.

If i had to guess... it would be that Moss will not come to LSU for personal reasons dating back some years ago.

Moss has played in a minimum of 6 games in all four of his years at aTm, never had a season ending injury in the first part of the season that precluded him from playing later in the season.

In short:

To get a medical redshirt (hardship waiver) in NCAA sports, an injury/illness must be season-ending and happen in the first half of the season, with strict limits on competition (usually < 30% of games/dates) before the injury, requiring extensive medical documentation from a qualified professional, and approval from the university's athletic department. The athlete must not have returned to play after the injury; otherwise, they don't qualify.
