That makes no sense
Expand on this captivating assertion, please. I think there's little doubt that Quinn plays primarily in the slot this season.

Chi Dupre: 4.58 - 40, Trey Quinn: 4.39 - 40. I'm not sure why the rumor that he's slow because he's white is still around. The kid is one of the fastest in this class.
I'm well aware that Quinn is faster; I was saying that Quinn compares to OBJ from a speed and leaping standpoint, hence the new paragraph. Use context clues.

Ok. You said...
quote:
Landry is a possession WR that will play in the slot mostly in the NFL, IMO. He lined up multiple places at LSU because he was our best WR, but he's a slot in the NFL.
This doesn't make sense because the comparison of TQ at LSU to Landry in the NFL is not a good one. LSU is not the NFL and there aren't enough WR's on our team that are clearly better than TQ, from a talent standpoint, to merit his relegation to a "slot receiver" position.
You then said...
quote:
Dupre is more of the OBJ vertical threat.
Followed immediately by...
quote:
He compares better to OBJ from a speed and leaping standpoint
Using "context clues," it seems as if you were saying that Dupre compares better to OBJ. IF your assertion was that Quinn compares better to OBJ in terms of physical skills (jumping and running), then your argument that TQ will have more of a "Jarvis Landry slot role" makes no sense.
Ftr, hiding behind "context clues" because your prose is muddy and confusing is unbecoming.

I heard from someone inside the S&C program that Trey and Malachi are being built up. I heard they were working extra hard to have these kids game ready for the season. That makes me think that we will see alot of these two this year in our offense in some capacity. He put extra emphasis on the fact that "they are being built up". THanks for the post and the pic I see what he said was true.

Landry is a natural slot, he's said so himself on multiple occasions. It just so happens that he and OBJ were by far our best WRs for two years, so he played all over the place. I think Quinn is a natural slot as well and will primarily play in the slot this season. I believe Cam said as much after signing day.

I can see how this was confusing, but the entire post was about comparing Quinn to Landry/OBJ; the quoted portion I was responding to was about those three. I threw the Malachi part in just because I think he's the outside WR of the 2014 signing class. I also started a new paragraph to separate my thoughts. I'm hastily making these posts on the clock and am not proofreading to make sure everything I'm saying is perfectly clear.

Maybe it'll make better sense if I can clear up what I was trying to articulate. Quinn would run a faster 40 and jump a higher vertical than Landry, I'm pretty sure of that. However, those two physical attributes don't define him as a football player. I was responding to the guy who was comparing them athletically, and Quinn compares better to OBJ athletically.
LSU ran a ton of two-wide sets with OBJ and Landry split out to different sides, and since those two were BY FAR the best WR talents on the team, they lined up everywhere. In the NFL, Jarvis will play slot. If LSU had a tall, legitimate WR threat on the team the last couple of years, LSU would have ran more three WR sets with Landry in the slot because as a sure-handed, physical possession WR, he's a perfect fit.
Now with a more even WR competition, I expect Quinn to find his way into the slot at LSU. Dural has a spot locked up, and think Dupre gives us that vertical threat we've been looking for as well.

If I told you to suck my e-cock, would that be unbecoming as well?

How is LSU's strength and conditioning program already building up two guys who are still in high school? Are they on workout routine's given to them by LSU to do on their own?

He ran a 6.6 in the 55 meter at McNeese not long ago, so it doesn't appear so.

TQ may fit as a slot guy here, but you must have not watched much of his tape to know that this kid is an immediate home run deep threat as well and can play in or Outside.
Posted on 3/17/14 at 5:32 pm to weisertiger
They're given workout and diet precepts to follow. According to Mike Cutrera (Barbe HC, I interviewed him last season), TQ works harder than anyone he has coached. So it's no shock that he's thrived in his offseason program.
Kid is special.

They mus have only given it to the two wrs since thats where we need the help. Some people just need to think before posting. And only gave it to those two because guys like chark and upchruch will never play.
