I'm aware of what year it was. The poster I was responding to made the claim that Quinn ran 4.39 at the same camp Brazil ran 4.32. Clearly that is not true

And fwiw, Quinn was not at the opening in 2013 either. LINK

Open your eyes: You are correct in that Trey did not go to the "Opening". His choice. However, there are more opportunities than just the Opening to run, more than what is on an ESPN link, etc.

However, you are wrong on the "clearly that is not true" part, and this is the last time I respond to you regardless of what venom you spew. Trey and Brazil both were at the 2012 LSU Summer Camp in which they ran those respective times. I only mentioned that because it is easier to compare two guys running under the same exact conditions, timers, environment, etc.

I have no idea who he is, but unless he makes trey Quinn's name magically appear on the linked page below with a 4.39 next to it, I really don't see how it matters

Idiot.

I guess it really depends on what your definition of very fast is. Does he have world class speed (elite speed)? No and no one in this thread has claimed that he does. Is he very f'ing fast and will he be faster than most of the other skill position players in the SEC and be one of the faster players on the team? I would have to conclude just based on what he has accomplished on the track, that yes he is very f'ing fast and will be one of the faster WR's in the SEC in his days here at LSU.

Oh please. No one wants to discredit Trey. He seems like a great kid. We want to set the record straight for the guys who don't have any clue about what realistic times are.

If he doesn't lose any speed due to bulking up into a bigger player, 215 lbs. or something which I doubt would happen, he should be a legit 4.4 something guy at the combine 4 years from now. I'm going in early with a 4.43 40 at the combine 4 years from now.

10.90 FAT in the 100m. His times tend to get faster as it gets warmer and he gets conditioned to handle the four sprints (100m, 200m, 4x100, 4x200) he is usually asked to run.

Does it really matter?

Yes is does matter. Although I really don't care much, there are more than a couple of fans who pretty much challenged the "powers that be" at rivals (for instance) to explain why TQ was not a five star after setting records at the WR spot. I do remember Rivals guy saying that Trey did not have five star speed. Well, that pro analyst looks like a fool today and he is really going to look like a fool when TQ and MD get into their grove like OBjr and JL were last season.

Most of us LSU fans talk about MD coming in and making waves as a TF but TQ is going to do that as well.
