For football you can still recruit a kid if you hire his coach as an on field assistant (ex. A DB coach). I’m sure it’s the same thing in basketball. If Bama wants his coach as one of the 3 paid assistants then they can probably still recruit him.

Had the tv on while working from iPad and Finebaum told a caller Alabama would be the sleaziest program around if they hired Petino.
First 5 callers talked about LSU basketball
2 of his guest speakers were all over LSU’s nuts.
One said he picked them to the final 4 and they could beat MSU and Duke.
The other said they may be the best team in the country.
One ranked the remaining SEC schools and said it’s:
LSU
Tenn
Auburn
UK.
Feinbaum was oddly quiet

I don’t feel confident in landing trendon watford. It seems like we are still a favorite to land Lester Quinones out of IMG academy.

It is not allowed. So, if an assistant is gong to bama, Watford won't be. If it's not LSU for Watford, I think Penny has convinced him to join Memphis. If he announces at the Jordan/Brand classic, which is 4 days before WW testifies, I can't see him going to LSU. Unless, and I really hope this is the case, WW has been in contact with him and convinced him nothing will come of the FBI wiretaps. You can bet your bottom dollar every school in the country is telling these recruits LSU is a dumpster fire and is facing the death penalty and all sorts of overblown BS. I just don't see him at LSU right now, especially since he will be a one and done. Everybody wants to play in the big dance and if LSU gets a post-season ban then he obviously wouldn't be if he went to LSU.

Petino is still involved in a lawsuit with Louisville. No way Bama takes a chance with him when he's already suing his previous employer and basically had a prostitution ring going on there. Just about everywhere he's gone the school has ended up on probation! No way Bama even considers that idea!
