LSU’s Les Miles came to Champagnat. Another morning, Alonso looked up and saw Mario Cristobal, Alabama’s offensive line coach. “Then I saw the guy in the suit behind him,” she said. “It was Nick Saban. I thought, Is he that small?”

On January 24, Valentine and his mom took an “official” — that is, paid for — visit to Baton Rogue, Louisiana. Travonte went to Les Miles’s house for breakfast. He ate pancakes, eggs, ham, and other things he can’t remember.
Thus began the part of the Process where fans begin to develop conspiracy theories. “He left with a briefcase,” wrote a poster on CaneSport, Miami’s hub on Rivals.

Lord of my life
Me and my salvation …
We stand on faith
We shall not fall
We cannot fall
We will not fall
We’re going to take it to ’em
We’re going to do our thing
Fired up!
We’re going to win the game
In Jesus’s name.
Amen
Nice. I hope my little league teams like the new pregame prayer!

That truly was a great read. Thanks for sharing

This is a great article that really puts things in perspective. These are kids living their dream. The parents are proud as peacocks, and the schools care about the kids and want what's best for them. For fans to become jaded about "the process" and post negative comments about these kids is asinine.
Congratulations Trevante! You deserve your day

Excellent article. He could be a game changer in more ways than one.

Yep. Really puts in perspective what the kids have to deal with when making a life changing decision.
