would be a better TE, imo

not really a quick twitch athlete.

LSU may offer him, but he would never play much at LSU. Could probably crack the lineup at State though

I know this really doesn't translate but I saw him play basketball.... He appeared to be a little undersized for DE and wasn't overly athletic to compensate for his size... He does have a good frame....

From his recent numbers posted here, it appears he's been hitting it hard training, hence the low 40 times....

If I'm not mistaken doesn't John Curtis play for or win State every year? I think Joe McKnight played there.

Curtis is a great high school program. Problem is that most of their big time prospects don't pan out. Last one I can think of that even got playing time was Carnell Stewart and he was a high 4 star DT that didn't play until his Sr year and he split time with a true freshman and Chris Jackson who was our kicker.

Joe McKnight had a good career at USC.

Good all-purpose RB but never lived up to the hype. Never got more than 164 carries in a season at USC.

Good for him, maybe he'll have a great senior year and still get an LSU offer.

Yeah, but nowhere near good enough considering the hype he had coming out.

There are lots of kids with good frames it does not always equate to high D1 talent.

I officiated Curtis last year. I do remember him, but not as a stud. Just a really good high school football player.

The TE, Dillon was a horse, had the size and makeup. Not sure if he can play TE in the SEC, but has a better shot than Bell.

Rivals and Scout had him as the #2 prospect in the nation behind Jimmy Clausen and ahead of Eric Berry, Carlos Dunlap, Ryan Mallet and Marvin Austin.

I'm not trying to bad mouth Curtis at all and not saying Curtis hates LSU. (Besides McKnight, LSU has signed every kid we've ever offered from JC in the past decade.) I'm just saying that Curtis kids get hyped up a lot and rarely live up to it.
