We definitely wanted Torrence, it was just a long shot with him favoring UF from the beginning following his old head coach. Premium site mods said that from the beginning on him.

At least we should get shorts.
Torrence is a beast at rg but shorts is damn good in his own right at tackle.

He was as elite a LT as they come this past season. He allowed 1 sack and 5 total pressures this past entire season on nearly 400 pass block snaps. He isn't the prototype LT at 6'4 335 but he clearly can play there. I wouldn't say he's an interior guy right away. He might end up there, but he also might be the best LT on the team too.
Against North Dakota St in the playoffs and against Vandy earlier in the season he was on the field for 62 pass block snaps and allowed 0 sacks, 0 hits, 1 pressure in those games pass blocking.

That is pretty impressive on it's face.

Wonder what the starting group will be, assuming shorts is on board.
LT Shorts
LG Emory Jones
C Turner?
RG Martinez
RT Frazier
If Jones can play center, do you put Campbell inside this year and try and start 2 true freshman? I thought Martinez played fairly well at RG this past season

I think tackles are flipped. Martinez plays center and you battle it out at guards with Jones, bradford (if here) dellinger thomas and wire.
That is with no other addition. Also see how Campbell does in spring. If good he could move shorts to a guard spot.

Don't be surprised if you see Dellinger given a shot at center. I think he'd be better inside and could be an outstanding center.

would clog up the inside really nice at center. No pressure up the middle all year

It's impossible to know, going to have to go through spring to see how things shake out.
Both Frazier and Shorts played LT at their respective schools and I assume they will let them duke it out mostly with Wire for LT and RT spots.

Idk what the line up will shake out to be, but damn it’s nice to just have options on the O Line.

I think you replace Jones with Wire and wait to see if a center pops in the portal for spring or hopefully by then someone emerges as center

Right tackle.
Could move inside if needed.
Has the feet for right tackle.

I think most of these UL transfers are gonna be really good.
I'm not sure how hard fla went after Garner but i like him a lot and the RB that went to tcu
