What? Seastrunk's visit to Auburn wasn't an official visit, it was an unofficial visit just like all of the other visits he's taken (Texas, LSU, etc.)

This is true, Seastrunk still has all 5 of his officials to take in the fall if he desires to do so. His visit to Auburn this past weekend was on his own dime. The poster who said it was official either doesn't know what he is talking about or just made that up to justify Seastrunk not listing LSU as his favorite visit.

a player can't take an official until after the start of his senior year and his test score is on record at the university

Per Rivals:

quote:

• Lache Seastrunk, the nation's No. 1 running back, called his unofficial visit to Auburn this past weekend "the best experience I ever had."

This is the part I worry about because LS is not used to that type of environment. Things can get ugly fast in AL with the race nonsense. The UT guys vs the aTm guys have fun over here too, but race is not factor only elite vs the working man type thing.

This is from the link posted by I-59 Tiger.

Lache, might want to check out the status of the Klan activity in Lee County. And also the lack of night life in Auburn. based on the first, you might want to avoid the second anyway.

Yeah, its a wonder we are able to field a team every year with all the black players getting lynched and what not.
A) That poster is an Alabama fan posting on the internet about auburn...that means there is a 99.9% chance a comment by a mentally handicapped person would have more logic, reason, intelligence and credibillity.

B) Your analysis of race relations in Texas and Alabama is just absurd. Sure Alabama has its share of idiot racists (just like every state in the nation does) but it is not any different than Texas or Louisiana. Do you really think Auburns black students are harrased by the KKK, and there is never any mention of it? The national media would jump all over that in a heartbeat. You would think out of all the african american Auburn alumni somebody would have made some mention of this somewhere along the way.

I have read pretty idiotic posts on here, but this one just may take the cake.

don't mean to be thinking for Born but I live in Texas too.

I think Born just meant the Texas and Texas A & M fans don't bring race into these discussions as quickly as they seem to be brought into a Bama/Auburn discussion.

I don't think he's concerned with the klan going after Lache. it is just a little disturbing to him for race to be brought into a recruiting discussion.

What are you basing this on? I have no idea about Texas/ Texas A & M, but I have lived in Alabama all my life and believe me I have had more than a few discussions in person and on the internet with Alabama and Auburn fans about recruiting. I don't recall race ever being brought into any of these discussions (and note it was brought into this discussion by neither an Alabama or Auburn fan but an LSU fan).

So are yall really "concerned" about Laches well being or just upset he enjoyed his visit to Auburn so much? Personally if I cared about a kids well being I would tell him not to pay attention to what rival fans say on the internet or let it affect his opinon on any school...paticularly a school he reffered to a visit there as "the best expirience of my life" (that would be Auburn).

I did not say anything like that, but you wrote it and what comes out of your mouth (or typed) is what's in your heart.

So I guess my concern about how AU and UA posters conduct themselves over a puplic forum, where my friend can see it, upsets you more than their hateful writing. Anyway, in an earlier post you wrote "That poster is an Alabama fan posting on the internet about auburn." I know you want to give the impression that a LSU fan wrote that sick stuff. Sorry, but there was not a LSU fan involved in that quote I posted.

I am only pointing out what I saw. Nothing you can say will change what was said on that other web site between AU and UA fans. So don't try to add Texas and Louisiana into your state ideology about how to argue over which county has more _ _ _ members.

Sure you have and I posted it from another web site. You just said in your post "Sure Alabama has its share of idiot racists" and I believe you.

I've known Lache since he was in third grade. He grew up on the street behind my house and is good friends with my son. He has spent many an hour at my house and is considered family. I am concerned about what I read and that is why I pointed it out. As for his visit to AU I was happy for him that he had a great time and I pray he makes the right decision because there are a lot of snake oil salesmen out there. Now as for me, I was born an LSU Tiger Fan in Baton Rouge and will always be one until I die. I have been spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Gospel of LSU to every kid that has visited my house. To say I am upset because Lache had a good time at AU is crazy and Lache knows that's not true. My son wants to go to North Texas not LSU. This is because of the music program at NT and I am 100% behind his decision, but I will inform him of any potential danger fact or rumor while he is living just outside the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Same thing for Lache where ever he decides to go.

I hope for the kids sake (Lache and your son) that you tell them to take all this BS with a grain of salt...they are the impressionable ones...its up to you to steer them in the right direction

Auburn fans shouldn't get their hopes up for his signature. Hes had similar patterns on all his visits. First USC looked like they were going to come in, then it looked like he was favoring Texas, then it looks like Texas is starting to fall out of it, now hes showing Auburn love. The only team that has stayed consistent in him mentioning, has been LSU. His mom wants him close to home and I think that will ultimately prevail for LSU over Auburn. I just find it interesting when you hear Seastrunk talk, LSU has been the only consistent factor hes talked about.

If Seastrunk goes to Auburn, hes going to have to leave all his buddies behind too. Because Auburn isn't getting Reed, that is a pipe dream. Hurd/Lewis aren't going to follow either. Right now its a Auburn/LSU battle but as it has been his entire recruiting so far, LSU is always at the top and the only consistent team doing so. Think about that. Long ways until signing day, anything can happen.
