Once again, Shea Patterson is not a LA boy. He lived in Ohio til he was like 11 then moved to Texas. Moved to Shreveport in 2013. Only here for a few years.

Jesus dude. He plays High School Football in Louisiana. It's OK to admit one got away. Franks got away from someone also.

If you say Shea Patt isn't from Louisiana over and over and over it makes you feel better about him going to ole miss instead of LSU.

Too bad nobody around here is cool enough to know Mauti....

Pretty positive Mauti was not the best player in the state that year. Went to school and grew up with him.

Cali, Florida, Texas have enough talent to fill 4+ programs with top talent. LA has most talent per capita. Not the most talent. 2 diff things. Ms has the 2nd most talent per capita, those schools haven't done shite. Because the population is so low they have to grab players else where if they want to be good more than once a decade.

Right-my simple point is that LSU is judged so closely on how they loose or land LA players, because they have no inner state rival for such a talent rich state in any form (per capita or what ever).

Texas- UT and A&M (Now TCU, Baylor and TTU are big players)
Cali- USC, UCLA, Cal, Stanford maybe more

Florida-Miami, Fla St., UF

Miss- MSU and Ole Miss

Alabama- Bama and Auburn

I think someone jumps Shea Patterson for the top two from the state, but he inevitably stays in the top 10.

I doubt that happening. I could maybe see the DT from Neville jumping him but by the end of 2015 I think Patterson will be the #1 QB overall (not just rivals). LA in 2016 is loaded but I only see Patterson able to step into college right away and play but a lot can happen.

He'll drop because he's committed, and not to Bama. No drama, so he's gotta go down in the rankings. If Lawrence holds out, he'll jump him.

Yeah, if that was the case here. But it's not.

well he did get away, I mean LSU wanted him

but its not the "why is Les letting all these home grown LA boys leave the state!" type of deals either

Because our fan base is delusional. People think LA is gods gift to earth whe n baton rouge as a city is pretty low on that list of all those schools. Tuscaloosa sucks, but bama is in another level and always has been. They are also rt in the middle of sec country. Distance will never be a factor for them.

Bama let Jamis get away and now haven't won the past 2 national titles. I will freak out about Patterson if we don't get franks. LA simply hasn't produced top tier qbs or linebackers in Miles' tenure. There were a couple during sabans time, but we again won a title with a qb from OOS.
