re: Top QB Gunner Kiel picks Indiana

The thing about Indiana is that his brother is also a QB there. I believe there would only be a year between them, because I doubt IU would redshirt a guy of Kiel's talents. They would almost be forced to play a guy of that talent to build interest in their program. Much like Wake Forest and C.J. Leak several years ago.

Indiana? Really? Why in the hell would he go there and not ND?
Family ties are the only factor in that. And proximity.

Didn't he have an uncle play at ND or something like that? If I was him, I would go to ND and develop under Kelly. ND is heading in the right direction.

It seems like I've heard that, but he's never shown any interest in Notre Dame. Kiel is looking to head into a situation where he has a good offensive line, solid running game, and productive WRs. He would have that at Oklahoma and Alabama. Indiana is just the local pick, and he has a brother there. I'm not up-to-date on Notre Dame's situation, but Kelly is good with QBs.

I would be shocked if Indiana got a kid of his caliber. I do think this year is down for QB's, but Kiel is still the creme of the crop for this years class. He should go to OU or Bama if he wants to live up to his potential. OU would be a little better IMO given the system.

I thought since the beginning that Kiel and DGB would end up at Notre Dame together. Now I think DGB goes to OU and Kiel to Bama

I thought that as well at the beginning of the process. At this point, I'm going to trust what I was told that they will both end up at OU, but I could see them split as well.

Kiel throwing to DGB and Durron Neal with Roy Finch and Brennan Clay in the backfield will be sick...

Kenny Stills may be there as well.

That too. And I just saw they got a 5* back in Brandon Williams and a 5* WR in Trey Metoyer last year. I didn't realize how stacked they are at skill positions

Yep. They have a ridiculous amount of talent at the skill position.

What other slick willy is there? Don't answer that

What does OU's offensive line look like in the future? That will be a key him and his family is looking at too.

Talking about a QB from HS, not JUCO. I'm excited about Mettenberger but I'm not sure we landed a "blue chip" QB last year. Can't remember the last time we did to be honest. RP?
Based on Kiel, wouldn't it just confirm Kiel is heavily leaning to OU(or someone else other than Bama) if Bama all of sudden started hitting Winston heavy? Which is what he said in a interview?
