Guys reclassifying is not a normal thing. It’s seemingly happening more often but it takes a lot of work in the class room and knowing you plan to reclassify early on.

Plus not a great idea for lineman because then they are a year younger and not as strong. Lineman need to be as old and physically mature as possible when reaching campus to have a shot to contribute

This would be a terrible idea. 16 year olds going to college early for no reason. A 16 year old DT going up against a 22 year old with 3 years of sec experience would get dominated.

The need for dt’s doesn’t mean bringing young kids in to fill roster spots.

Was there someone suggesting a guy move up 2 or 3 classes? College freshmen are 18 or 19 years old. So a guy who moved up a class would be 17 or 18, not 16.

I've never heard of lineman reclassying. Usually it's QBs, and only recently have I seen the WR Ryan Williams do. I've seen 1-2 RBs do it before as well.

Usually a kid that has reclassified doesn't make it big.

Colin Hurley is 16. Enrolled and taking classes. College chick nails him and she could classified a sex offender lol.

There are 2 top 40ish DL from FL in the 24 class that reclassified up. The Blount kid headed to Miami and I believe the McCray kid headed to wither fSU or UF(both had multiple different commitments).
I agree on younger kids moving up a class. I don't think it's in their best interest. However, some are kids that are older than their current class and actually belong in the upper class. Kids fail or get held back when small children. Not every reclass fits the same mold.

It's a horrible idea for linemen, who need time to grow into their bodies.

Many of the players who reclassify, were previously held back and are just adjusting back to their actual class.

First baw I remember doing it was that UNC corner Grimes. Grimes was a five star in HS and transferred to Aggie and as far as I know went back into the portal this offseason.

Don’t think he ever played for Aggie and I never heard his name at UNC.
