I mean doesn't it sell a lot more subscriptions if the kids wait till NSD to decide?
I don't know if it gives them more subscriptions, but it probably helps the ratings for the all star games and their NSD coverage to have some big guys announce on air. I hate the fake drama and don't watch that crap.
It wasn't that long ago (10 years give or take) that the bulk of a class wasn't committed until after the CFB season was over. I think they should take their time and take some visits. I like JT Curtis' approach. Tell the kids to make sure, so that when the do committ, they don't change their mind.

Supposedly, his FSU visit for their spring game went extremely well
why wouldn't it? Any visit should go well, they are going to roll out the red carpet, especially for a 5*, put their best foot forward. Put their program in the best light. To me it would be bigger news if the visit went poorly.

The only Recruiting Visit I can ever remember NOT going well was Jarvis Green's trip to Auburn, because of a fight.

Doesn't automatically make the coaching good. Only means almost guaranteed playing time. People who have been to his games keep saying that he still shows some rawness.
