To all of you who are freaking out

1. Seems like everyone felt the same all week that nobody really knows anything. So why freak out now?
2. The kid makes his decision in less than 24 hours. The suffering is almost over either way.
3. Do we really think we won't find success without this kid? Simmons is going to be a great player but since when are we a one player make or break program? It's places like Texas who are in that position because they need fans/boosters/media to get excited about something and take their eyes off of what happens on the field.

You seem to have been following LSU recruiting but just now have an account. So were you someone before or just a lurker? I mean this is an easy one. Tigers side felt great then last minute start backing down to let fan base down. I mean people are comparing this to Ricks last year.

Who said any of that? Can’t just be upset that lsu might be losing out on a huge target? If we miss then that sucks. Plain and simple. It’s okay to admit that. Yes we’ll still be fine, but the name of the game in recruiting is stacking elite talent. We want to be on uga, bama, and osu’s level of recruiting. Gotta land the big fish to get there

Neither. Just never made it over to TD before this off-season.
And I’m not implying I’m not invested in this decision too. But it seems like everyone has decided now all of a sudden that’s it’s a done deal. When all it seems like is today is par for the course on people completely leaning one way or the other.

Did I say I don’t care about the situation? Or just that nothing happened today that is drastically different than any other day this week. The noise today is the same as it was last week.

When the LSU “insiders” start backing down it’s time. I imagine tonight starting around 9-11 information will be released on both sides.

This is it. It’s the same script every time. Why? If they’re getting the same information with the same script, then they need to do better interpreting and disseminating it.

It definitely sucks to not push it across the finish line but if Texas is gonna pay 7 figures for him, as good as he is, idk if it’s worth that. That’s Underwood type money and I just don’t know that an edge guy is worth QB money.

Cap, I thought I read something on here (maybe from you?) That if it's texas tomorrow lsu is essentially calling it quits on heavily recruiting him. Have you heard anything on that front? If true, seems pretty telling that UT is throwing an ungodly amount of money at him and his family.

Yeah I said to chill on things like "BK can't ever land a big fish" or "we straight up can't compete with the UGAs / Bamas / Teas etc"
Not implying this isn't a big recruit. Not implying I don't care about what happens.

I’ll just come out directly and state it. Simmons is not worth an up front 7 figure deal. If that number is real, Texas overpaid to save face. He’s just not at a position that warrants that kind of money.

Not gonna lie. If we miss out on Simmons, McKinley and Mack, that will really sting. It certainly isn't a defining moment and the portal is the great equalizer, but it's only going to get tougher next year when UT and OU officially join.
