can someone give me a rundown on him? I know when he committed after his first year of JUCO his stats weren't very significant. Did he show out at a camp?

I am honestly kind of surprised we let him sign in the early period. i thought we were going to tell him to hold off until February

I'd imagine he's being signed for his blocking, not a stats guy.

He does have a pretty athletic catch in his highlights though, so maybe some potential there.

We need TEs that are ready to play now. Despite the stats, the coaches felt he’s a guy they can plug in next season.

I am curious if they have a different role for him in mind. Maybe a position switch. Seems like a solid athlete with good size, I'm not sure what else he can play though.

Or maybe we just realllllly want a strong blocking TE to help Burrow get some passes off.

He’s going to be an H-back. Perfect for the RPO. Exactly how we were trying to use Racey McMath. The problem was McMath was not use to blocking Defensive ends and linebackers. TK is threat while blocking and going out for passes. Think Phillip Lutzenkirchen for Auburn.

That's what I'm wondering. If DE or even a redshirt year and OT are on the table for him.

He's listed at 250 on the Co-Lin site, close to that on 247. If he gets into the S&T program here at the beginning of the summer, I don't think it's out of the question for him to be at playing weight for OT by the fall of 2020.

That was based on us getting a high school TE, like Zipperer, Zipperer is committing to UF to day so they struck out.

He only had 5 this year in JUCO, so it wont be much a change

Getting him to 285ish would be really tough and he'd still be a little light.

But man, would that be awesome to have a supremely athletic OT.

Ray Parker apparently is a great athlete. My sauce on Perry says he’s an incredible athlete for his size, just needs a mean streak

Isn't Ray Parker a qualifying risk? He's definitely a good OT prospect.

Last I heard we were only taking him if the risk were mitigated

Yeah, it's easier to do if you have a high school kid coming in at 245 or 250 and you have the expectation of not needing to play him until his RS Soph year. With a JUCO kid it's tougher.

ETA: It's why if I were taking over a bottom dweller team and trying to build a program, I would recruit a shite ton of TEs.

Yeah I think Gaining 50 points in 2 years may be out of the question even by fall 2020.

That’s an insane amount of weight, and a position change, and he’s still not ideal height
