Spot on! Anyone else notice our recruiting of TE's has changed under O? Smaller more athletic and get further down field.

Yes I noticed that as well. We are getting more of those hybrid TE/WR types. We still could use a heavy TE for extra blocking when needed, but I like the idea of having another threat the defense has to take account for. Could be a safety lever for QB or have them run routes and open the middle of the field up. Let's see what Coach Steve E has up his sleeve.

yea, i'm actually befuddled with this commitment. I sure as hell don't know what the coaches do but this class is filling up and we still have some top talent we need to sign. I would rather see a continued emphasize on our lines, esp. our OL. of course, DL is a place where you need signees every year and we very well not sign Sophser (sp).

This is a supposedly loaded LA class, and they’re giving this guy a spot. So, either they don’t feel very good about the big fish left on the board, or this guy is legit. Guess we have to wait to see, but I’m confused/surprised about this commitment also.

And 1 of those 5 TEs is Moffitt, who we don't know if he can play.
That's still fewer TEs than teams like Bama and Georgia have.

Already have four. How many more do you want? Not saying they won't take one or two more, but OL could already be full-up unless a big 'un drops out of the sky.

We have 2 senior tes. After next year when this guy would actually come we have only 4 scholarship TEs if Sheffer is one. All are unproven other than maybe Moss. Pettigrew has limited pt. Moffit is unknown could move back to dline. Is Sheffer a te or fb. While we will spread it out you still need to have 3 guys at times to play in short yardage situations. Our depth after this year at te is a big question mark
