. Please see how many successful nfl quarterbacks you can name that are 6’7 and over.

That's irrelevant. His NFL potential has nothing to do with whether or not he's going to be a good college QB. I hope he has a NFL career but what matters most to me is how he performs at LSU and him being 6'7 won't be an issue.

Ok well I would like for the kids who play at lsu to also eventually go on to the pros. So all im saying is, its in his best interest as an nfl prospect to stop growing... he is already at a great height in the 6'5-6'6 range. And before you come back with some stupid comment... yes I know that is out of his hands.

The argument becomes that these super tall guys have slow releases. Long arms take a bigger wind up and defenses can key on that easier. With all that being said... yes he could be an exception and be a new breed that excels at that height.

Well if ends up on that list at least he would have had a good college career but forget about the NFL.

Wow, that is a horrible take. It isn't like he is a thin tall guy. He is solid and the extra height will only increase his field vision (which is why they like tall QB's to begin with). Further less people will be concerned about his release point.

Trust me, the NFL will draft a 6'9" QB if a good one is available. and so will LSU.

Joe Flacco, Derek Anderson, and Byron Leftwich all did fine in the NFL

Ok well its not a horrible take regardless of what you say. There's a reason there is no 6'7 qb starting in the nfl but whatever yall are like talking to a brick wall.

And Leftwich is not 6'4. He's 6'5 almost 6'6.

Most 6’7 guys play basketball, TE, or OT. Most 6’7 guys are also pretty immobile and too slow to play QB. I don’t think Finley is Joe Flacco - stone shoes slow

The comparison if any would be Russell not Joe Flacco, come on man.

JaMarcus Russell 6'6 260lbs
TJ Finley 6'7 250lbs

Finley is more mobile though.

Jamarcus was a fat 260 (at his lightest)
Finley is probably 240-250 (at his heaviest)

10 pounds also makes a hell of a lot of difference

Not a great list tbh. I still believe in TJ though.

Also, why are we basing how good TJ is gonna be at LSU based off how many QBs his size have done well in the nfl?

All of you doing this "how big he is" comparison is freaking stupid. The kid has a cannon and put up good stats in a scrimmage and all yall wanna do is argue about if he can play or not. Just enjoy the info and stop the childish arguing.

I see in the video he threw a TD pass to his brother Cody Finley. Can't seem to find him of 247, anyone know anything about him? TIA

I am not doing this. All I said is that if he gets much taller it will most likely become a negative and not a positive. I'm over it, topic dropped.

I bet I could give you a list at least a thousand times as long of QB's who are in your "perfect" height range that "failed" in your eyes!!

Look at the individual and his qualities, not at body size. Anecdotes and preformed "boxes" will only get you so far.

Kody Finley. 6'4 170 lbs. Sophomore. First year starting. Big time potential.
