Not mad at all. He never showed real interest in coming here. Best of luck to him

Don't think he was that interested in Bama til he realized LSU really wasn't going to take him Thought he wanted to get away from home, reality started sinking in that Miami is a long way away. I think he naively assumed that he could always come back to LSU.

It's a good fit - Bama needed a replacement for DeMarcus Walker, TW needed a replacement for LSU.

For his sake, I'm glad he is coming to Bama rather than Miami. I'm not sure why any recruit would want to go there right now.

Couldn't agree more and he made a great decision for his future. His chance of success on the football field went up 100-fold in picking Bama over Miami.

I can hardly remember another local recruit I cared less about LSU getting in recent years than Tim Williams. We can find three guys like that every year. As long as we keep Beckwith, I'm good. That one would have hurt like Collins.

The only reason it irritates me is because of the influx of rantards that will come over here to shite up this board without knowing anything.

This. LSU will be just fine without Tim and he'll be fine at Bama. Can you really blame him for wanting to be a part of a program that has won 3 of the last 4 national titles? I was really hoping Tim would pick LSU but in the end both parties will be just fine.

...LSU dropped him some time ago basically .. don't know why really... but our coaches saw him more of him than anybody, and backed off ... I know folks at UHS ( yeah yeah , I know - dont start wit me with that shite) and fact is , he never showed any true enthusiasm at all for LSU and was all about going out of state, so IMHO coaches prolly said "OK , fine - good luck . We moving on" ... I guess if you going out of state, there are worse places than 'Bama . Good luck to the kid. He'll catch the inevitable 'Bama downturn ...

That is such a stupid comment. LC played on ST and was a beast. He will be a super star at Bama. Loser talk makes us all look bad.

LC played on ST and was a beast I watched several of Bama's games this year just to see what LC would do and to my surprise I didn't see the same BEAST you saw. In fact, LC doesn't even look as fluid in that secondary (while he was in for the few snaps that he did get) as Clinton-Dix did while he was a freshman last year. He won't start next year ahead of Ha-Ha or Sunseri. As for TW... Good Luck to him.

The ONLY thing that bothers me is the Gumps getting the pleasure of pulling him off LSU's campus.
He's naive if he thinks he'll get early playing time there. He's a tweener that has alot to learn.

Wrong. LSU backed off because they knew they had no chance at getting him. It wasn't character issues or questions about his conduct off the field, LSU just lost and moved on. Nobody here wants to admit this but it's the truth. He never screwed LSU over and made them waste resources recruiting him like LC did. It was a mutual understanding and that's it.

He's going to be good wherever he ends up.

This kid was #1 on my board coming into the season due to the expected attrition at the DE spot this year, but since then he has slid lower and lower (at least on my list of wants/needs). His lack of enthusiasm about the program, along with the rumors of his off/on the field problems and our coaches backing off, really turned me off from him.

I still think this kid would fit our system better than that of Bama, but he isnt as big a loss as I would have thought 6 months ago. Regardless, like a previous poster said, it pisses me off that the Gumps can say they "handpicked" one of LA's top talent two years in a row.

I dont care what he does. I dont like every year Bama gets a top 100 players from our state.

Just makes me sick. how can this kid live in BR and not be an LSU fan.

Every state loses 1-2/year, every year. This stuff is not a big deal.

If that is the truth, then good luck to the kid. He played the recruiting game the right way. TW and LSU won because of it.

If i was an LSU fan i would be happy that he did not lead the fans into thinking he would sign with LSU. He kept LSU out of it or LSU never wanted him. Either way, i dont know the whole story.

Althought Bama does continue to gather top players from BR, Something tells me that yall will be just fine.

Referring to Landon Collins. LC was a beast all year as a ST player and also saw playing time at safety in some games.

I think Beckwith is a better talent and he'll end up at DE. Williams is good though.
