With Coach O on staff and the time he spent at USC, we may actually close on some Cali kids we recruit.

Coaches give 0 shits about stars. If our coaches were pulling up 247 to look for who to offer they shouldn't have jobs.

Do you think our coaches recruit based off the ever changing rankings on rivals and 247? 
I would rather coaches evaluate and offer after studying film or seeing kids in camp then blindly offer "5 star" kids like you want them to do for some stupid reason.

In his defense, I'm sure he plays a lot of NCAA 14' so he's got experience in the field.

Not that I think they give a crap about stars, but I don't think the recruiting services should be underestimated or we should think no coach ever looks at them. There were 1.1 million kids who participated in football last year in America. There is no way any coach, even the best, can know all the recruits all the time. I'm sure some do look and see who is trending or look up videos on the sites.

The 3* guys we have are high 4 and 5* talent, they just don't go to the camps and arent seen by these people giving the ratings. It's not coincidence that a lot of 4 and 5 star guys are from the same area that these guys giving out the ratings are from also. I love the 3* guys we have at the moment. I don't like when we have to offer 3* guys at the end of recruiting bc we shouldn't need to do that but those days are over. LSU is going to be all over the place now and I love it. Some of these 5* guys are maxed out and the sites don't care or even know how to tell the difference. They are ranked on how they are playing the highschool game, some on potential and I def trust our coaches to know the difference. GT
