LSU I believe is ranked 8th now in the recruiting class rankings on 247. I know it doesn’t sound like the number one class as 7 teams currently as of right now ahead but looking at some stats and info provided. Everyone one of those teams has more recruits committed. Like Florida has 20 commitments already but has lesser rated
players as their avg is around 91
LSU average player points is 93 I believe only ones ahead are Clemson and Ohio state in that department.
All in all excited for 2021 class has the making of top 3 or best in the nation
Just think all the big names LSU still might get
Foreman
Leigh
Sage Ryan
Maason Smith ETC...

Check it out LINK /

EDIT: Sorry just now saw other thread similar

It would be close. Day is a recruiting machine up at Ohio State. Their class will be insane.

I honestly think some Ohio state commits will decommit and look elsewhere

Although I love the way this class is coming together and think it's going to be an elite, blue-chip, top-5-in-the-nation class, it's going to be nearly impossible to top Ohio State this cycle. OSU is looking like they're more likely than not to come away with the greatest class of all time.

To give an illustration of where Ohio State is at for this cycle, we could add Korey Foreman, Maason Smith, Sage Ryan, Brian Thomas, Chris Hilton, Armoni Goodwin AND Tristan Leigh and we'd STILL be behind OSU, even if they added nobody else for the rest of the cycle (they still have 6 open spots, though). There's really not much chance of us topping them this go-around.

Luckily for us, though, our 2022 class is shaping up quite in the same way Ohio State's 2021 class came together. So OSU might only wind up holding that "greatest class ever" accolade for one season.

Can’t believe kids want to go play for that whiny loser. All Day did from the selection show through them blowing the fiesta bowl was piss and moan.

Not gonna be 1 that Will be OSU but 2-5 are all gonna be 300+ classes that are really close with Bama, Clemson, LSU, UGA personally I think Bama ends 2nd they’re just on fire right now but 2-5 can be any order

Agree. Clemson may not break 300 tho. They’re not taking a full class

I don't see us passing Ohio State.

I do think we finish in the top 4 along with bama and georgia.

Clemson at 5.

Regardless, we are going to finish with a ridiculous haul.

There are literally at least 2 threads every year around this time stating the same thing. Every year. I hope you are right but there is a long way to go.

I could care less about being #1, it means nothing. Fill position of needs with top talent and good character kids is all that matters. I'm worried about being #1 when dust settles in January.

LSU will have a great class (maybe 3rd) but this is what OSU has leaning towards them. Jt Timoloau DE-T, Emeka Egbuka WR, and also Tywone Malone DT, Derrick Davis S-LB, and are trending for a couple of high 4* and 5*. If they don't lose any of their highly rated recruits they will be very very clost to breaking Florida's 2010 record 0f 323-4.

That’s okay. They can have the #1 class on paper. We will prove our class on the field.

These are all projections. Louisiana kids with fewer “stars” seem to kick arse. Bo said it when he came here - (parapharasing) The kids from Lousiana are tough and show the out of starte kids what it means to be tough.

A lot of coaches and players have cited the “dog” in Louisiana players as being different.
