This board is toxic

What the hell is going on with this Board. Everyone is so god damn self entitled thinking everyone should beg to sign at LSU and if they don’t, they defame the kid, talk shite about their family and insinuate other stereotypes related to poor African American families.
I remember the Dinardo days when we were losing kids in mass to Michigan, USC and Notre Dame. Enjoy these times and love the kids we get. It doesn’t make anyone look good when you actively hope for these kids who go elsewhere to fail. It really just make you look like a sad sad person.
Or we have people looking at 247 and going down the list saying we should get xyz kid. Remember when we were pumped up about Jason Spadoni and Tim Pope? Yeah probably not. Recruiting should be fun, it used to be like Christmas for me, now people bitch when they get new air pods instead of air pod pros and take all the joy out of it.

Jesus. Who were they talking that kind of shite about? I must have missed it. I do see the occasional idiot saying stuff but felt like it was the exception not the rule. On tRant maybe but haven't seen it as much on the RB.

Great post, enjoy the process. You never know what these players will become. Trust the coaching staff. The negativity for not getting someone is absurd. LSU is not for everyone. The ones who choose the purple and gold salute them.

I know Daniel Figurelli (Aggy fan who posts here as texag7, texag9, CajunBama and Rip n Lip) was banned from Shaggy Bevo for tweeting the n-word at Texas recruits, but I’ve always been under the impression that LSU fans and alumni were well above that.

Everyone needs to relax, honestly. It’s okay for kids to want to go elsewhere. What kills me is the kids who get shite on before they even commit elsewhere- why do that?

I agree with you that people make fools of themselves over these kids, but I would not make it into something it’s not. Our fans or no different from all fans. It's them or us, on our side or against us, good guy vs bad guy attitude. Logic, reason and decency are no longer sexy. You can see racism, I see stupidity, lack of respect and self-control. No so different from today’s politicians. Little big men losing their composure across a safe keyboard because no one is looking. It’s so easy just to log off when you embarrass yourself. Not every rude, obnoxious, self-centered, overbearing, narcissistic, whining bastard are racist. The majority are just arse holes. They are no fun, avoid them and you’ll be fine.
FYI- If you think LSU fans are better or worse than the rest of college football, just take a trip across the message boards, the idiots outnumber us 5-1.

I would say that's the exception to the board though. OP is stating the entire board is toxic when, the majority of the year, it's really not. Just a quick blip of morons. I haven't seen much of it this year though. More about how the sky is falling because two people flipped and that was just for a day or two.
It seems like something more recent set the OP off. Was curious what that was.

I’ve been on this board for 15 years (god how time flies) and each year it’s gotten worse and worse.
I remember when rivals just got started and people were still wailing for the advocate to come out with the top 12 recruits as their first intro to the recruiting class.
This board this year has been awful. We have a great recruiting class, but the fun of it has been sucked dry a substantial part of the community.
