Saban didn’t time this very well. But it was going to be open season anyway. It’s the not being able to go after anyone else that really could have been better thought through.

You're not going to feel so good when Kelly retires and we're on edge fearing players leaving LSU en masses. Hopefully things are changed by then though, because I'm not worried about the future now, this is fun.

I agree that the portal is a mess and not good for the sport.
But I love that Bama is now on the arse end of it and lacks the self awareness to see that now they are on the same playing field as everyone else.
