Akers stats last year at Clinton. In 11 games 141 of 250 passing for 2,331. yards 56%. Rushing 169 rushes for 1,418. yards for 8.4 per rush.

Way before his recruiting picked up there was talk of how he grew up an LSU fan. But then a year later he committed to Bama so...we'll see.

man, with O, Craig, Raymond, Miles, and now Austin Thomas all in the fold, yeah, we have a shot with ANYONE in TX, LA, MS, AL and FL...

We see this all the time with Miss. kids . looks good for LSU then boom a change of heart $$$ right before signing day I'll believe it only when i see the signed papers on signing day

Mississippi State isn't in it for Akers, even though Clinton is typically a State stronghold. Think it will be an Ole Miss/UGA battle with Ole Miss winning out assuming the sanctions aren't much more than what Ole Miss proposed.

Don't get me wrong, I think this kid is a stud and is one of those rb's that it's hard to get a clean hit on but that's not something you say out loud as a rb. Needs to study up on LF
